The Fiend absolutely has to win. It's the logical thing to do.
So of course Rollins will be booked to retain.

Could be interesting to see the Fiend just maul Rollins and walk away.
Since from what he have seen of him... why would he want the title?

A little less "Gong", a little more heart beat, followed by the long drawn breath. Who has Bray called "little rabbit" in the past? Who had the Funhouse segment with Baron Corbin last year? Who had a segment on the Edge and Christian Show parodying a kids' show segment? Who has thwarted Bray's efforts in the past, and only lost at Summerslam due to the element of horror and surprise? Who has been entirely absent since then? We may see the Undertaker passing the torch of sorts, but it won't be to Wyatt. I was thinking we see Demon vs. Fiend at WrestleMania for the title and we hold off on Balor going after him until then. You could even make it a story of sorts where folks ask why Finn hasn't gone after him since returning, did Wyatt scare the demon out of Finn, etc. etc.

Having him openly target legends is done in hope to illicit boos. He doesn’t need to shake hands but he also should not be doing obviously villainous acts. Those acts are part of why people like him. It's like a slasher flick in the 80s. You're into the carnage. Sometimes you watch something just to see a bad guy do bad things. I understand but the WWE will never push him as the top guy. So they’ll resort to heel things, they already have done it. It’s a matter of time before he insults the crowd.

Though the swirling idea that Tired taker or Party city Finn have to beat him is confusing. Why can't the fiend be the new spooky thing to replace Taker?

(Also I didn't see anyone saying he loses to Taker) Fair enough but the loss needs to be because of some great equalizer or stipulation. Just having Taker fart his way through his moveset and go over in 10 is a good way to kill this dead and Finn's demon needs a redesign because in it's current form is terribly lame. Aleister Black with the right build would work fantastically. Aside; The reason we are here is that WWE panics when they hit on something. They want to shove Bray into the title scene because Seth's nasal promos aren't exactly lighting people up but people are sick of Brock and really no one else has been built up to the ME scene yet.

Wyatt can't afford to lose so soon into his rise. This is the booking dilemma WWE faces; either way, the company loses because they can't feed the one to the other. They felt they needed this to happen in the runup to the draft and the Smackdown debut. If they're going to strike while the iron's hot, that may mean taking advantage of a reset button for Finn Balor as well upon his return, by having the Demon thwart the Fiend during the HITC match. That way, Seth retains as champ for at least until Survivor Series; the Fiend doesn't have to lose clean as a sheet in the process, and Finn returns to huge acclaim as either the One to Beat the Fiend or as the Next World Champion. My theory surrounding the Firefly Funhouse and the Fiend has always been that it's a particularly psychotic way to co-opt the Demon (kind of an "anything you can do, I can do better" schtick. Who had the Funhouse during his feud with Baron Corbin? Who was called "little rabbit" by Wyatt during the promos? What does the Fiend look like? Who had a kid's show segment parody on the E&C show (and yes, some of the creative team and probably the talents themselves were digging for this one.) How this feud ends is anyone's guess, but I cannot see any path for the Fiend past the Demon, to be honest. It's all in how they opt to drag it out, and they can drag it out as long as necessary without a title complicating things. With Heyman on Raw protecting it all, this could be one for the ages.

It's got to be nice to have a gimmick where the entire premise is "I get to squash everyone and they all shake in their boots at my very presence".

I don't see him losing. Wouldn't make sense to lose after a brand new extremely over new character change that as had one official match. All honestly, the reaction he got last night, you could argue turning Seth heel again.

They've built Rollins whole existence around being the Uni champ and had him FINALLY beat Lesnar once and for all but now he's gonna lose it so soon? Wyatt really should have worked up to it for a couple of months at least or even just attacked Kofi instead.

For people saying it's too soon for The Fiend to challenge for the Universal title Seth has pretty much fought every top guy on RAW & there's no more real fresh for him to face except The Fiend
I think with the $ The Fiend character is making WWE is another reason they're pulling the trigger this fast

Remember when everyone wanted Bray to "break" a babyface in order for his gimmick to work? And then they chose the worst face to do it with? This is a chance at redemption. Let Bray pull a dark side out of Seth. This cocky jackoff who is supposed to be a babyface character is grating as hell, but if they let Seth go all sadistic and borderline crazy? That could work.
