Just to make it easier, according to Dave Meltzer:
Anything good on Raw - Paul Heyman Anything bad on Raw - Vince McMahon

AJ won in under 5 minutes, dominated and pulled Cedrics shoulder off the canvas when he had him beat. And he pinned him the following night and stood tall at the end.
Next week, I wouldn't be surprised if he is thrown into the Maria's baby daddy storyline.

If this is all a game then I just love the idea that this is the plan. "Hey you wanna like, write a compelling and interesting show where we steadily build support for this guy narratively through strong performances, storytelling, and portraying character traits people can get behind?" "Nah let's kill him dead and then leak fake reports to the dirtsheets hoping people will cheer the guy we book to lose out of spite, and play four-dimensional chess with our fanbase instead."

So Cedric's winning the US Title next week, then. Probably in a manner similar to the last match that Styles had in TNA.

"We gonna push him right? Well, let's do it then, lets get on our bullshit."
"Oh, we gonna BURY bury him then lol."
"Yep, that's right. We'll have him have these quick losses, get the crowd invested in him and then when the time comes he'll win big. It worked for Bryan, worked for Kofi and-"
"-it'll work for Cedric!!"
"Yep, get on with those dirtsheet reports. Lets call Ryder in right now to tell him the news so he can leak it to Meltzer."
"So who's next?"
"Get Ricochet and his Drake lookin ass in here. We gonna really let em know he's hiding a child. MARIA, COME IN! WE GOT YO LINES FOR THE NIGHT GIRL!!!"

Honestly if there's truth to it, I don't really mind. Cedric kind of just doesn't click for me.
That said this feels like they're trying to do some meta bullshit.

Going for that meta Bryan support again I see. Yea, it's funny everyone seems to be on the same page with this This is clearly some leaked BS to drub up support for him instead of you know actually doing your job and getting the support the old fashioned way

Going for that meta Bryan support again I see. And it's not going to work. The crowd had already gotten into the character that Bryan had before WM28, and dude had been on the main roster since 2010. Cedric doesn't have a character and is new to the main roster.
It's not going to result in a new Yes movement, it's just going to make Cedric look like a total geek.

I wish that Vince would just get up one day and wander off, then never come back.

By the time the Yes Movement turned into blatant revolt, the sentiment was very much that Bryan deserved to be at Mania to win the title he had only ever lost through bullshit and overcome the heels in his way. It was direct and with a clear intention that people could support. It doesn't work when someone isn't over and it also isn't going to work nearly as well as just booking someone to get over through the ways that reliably get people over. This is lunacy.

It's just dumb overall. Y'all was doing fine with him being a scrappy fighter in losing efforts against someone like Drew in which they had good matches and Ced showed a lot of hard. This is purely a lazy method to try to get someone over. He's in there with AJ F***ing Styles, let those two put on a banger and he will get over. People forget in the first place Ced got over with his insane match against Ibushi

Going for that meta Bryan support again I see. Worked so well for Sami, he became the biggest star in the company and headlined WrestleMania this year. ...or became the ultimate heel goober, either or.
