Here we go, it's time to get into the real meat of things, the people you actually like! Who is the most popular person this year? Who just barely manages to scrape by as on the whole approved of? Read on to find out! . . . Well, except that most popular thing, that'll be a later installment because this is a loooong list. Turns out most of us are positive on the whole, who knew?
The "Yes" Rankings (#85 - #63)
85. Curt Hawkins (39.1% - 37% - 23.9%)Previous score: 39.2% - 33.8% - 27%What more appropriate place for Curt Hawkins than just barely managing to make it onto the list in dead last place? He truly is an underdog in all ways! . . . Do you remember when he won the tag titles at WrestleMania this year? . . . Do you remember that there
are tag titles?
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: I'd suggest having another bad match with AJ Styles but that isn't as rare a thing as it once was.
84. Aiden English (40.2% - 23.9% - 35.9%)Previous score: 39.6% - 26.2.% - 34.2%AIIIIIDENNNNNNN ENGLIIIIIIIIIIIIISH manages to make it on the Yes list two years in a row, even in now finding himself relegated to commentary on 205 Possibly No Longer Alive. Guess if you're capable of a catchy tune you can stick around in people's memory for years.
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Introduce his new commentary partner Simon Gotch.
83. Lana (43.5% - 40.2% - 16.3%)Previous score: 56.5% - 27.9% - 15.6%Turns out that disappearing all year and then making out with Bobby Lashley isn't a great way to elevate your approval (What do you mean most of the votes were put in before that even happened? I'm trying to be timely here, get off my back!), but Lana still manages to just make the best list. Though maybe Aiden had a point about her with the way she's clinging onto the spot right after his.
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Keep doing what you're doing, seemingly it works.
82. Sarah Logan (43.5% - 25% - 31.5%)Previous score: 40.8% - 25.9% - 33.3%Sarah Logan comes out the other side of the Riott Squad breakup still looking good! . . . On Main Event. Exclusively on Main Event. Maybe that's where one goes if they wish to hunt gay meat.
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Stop wrestling Dana Brooke.
81. Tucker (43.5% - 33.7% - 22.8%)Previous score: 27.2% - 22.2% - 50.6%Quite a turnaround on Tucker, who went from widespread apathy to fairly decisively making the Yes list. Good for him! Guess it's because he no longer has that pesky last name weighing him down.
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: I'm sure the eventual inevitable SRS heel turn on Otis will accomplish that.
80. Drew Gulak (44.6% - 27.2% - 28.3%)Previous score: 46.9% - 21.8% - 31.3%Little bit of a slide for Gulak, but on the whole he still remains liked by the denizens of FAN (FANizens?). Guess it doesn't hurt your reputation too badly to be the champion while 205 Live has apparently breathed its last. Maybe FAN would have loved Ezekiel Jackson back in the day too?
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Tease bringing back the Powerpoints only to instead start doing spreadsheets.
79. Jey Uso (45.1% - 40.7% - 14.3%)Previous score: 66% - 21.1% - 12.9%Sharp drop for Uso #B this year, with quite a bit more dislike coming his way. Whether it's the family's legal woes or it's them cutting lame gay jokes, either way it's not a great time to be the Usos this year.
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Keep driving drunk, that seems to be doing the trick.
76A. Jimmy Uso (45.7% - 40.2% - 14.1%)Previous score: 68% - 20.4% - 11.6%Insert everything I just said about Jey. These guys really are totally interchangeable, aren't they?
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Keep driving drunk, that seems to be doing the trick. How sad is it I was able to immediately repeat that?
76B. Roman Reigns (45.7% - 40.2% - 14.1%)Previous score: n/aIt's. . . The BIG DOG! And he just barely manages to win his way into FAN's heart! Truly Roman really has overcome the odds and shaken off his negative reputation, if you ignore that he just barely made the list. Still, not a bad way to make his FAN survey debut. And hey, at least he placed higher on the WWE rankings this year than Dean Ambrose did, that guy's not even on here! Wonder whatever came of him.
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Maybe try wrestling Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre some more?
76C. EC3 (45.7% - 30.4% - 23.9%)Previous score: 46.9% - 40.7% - 12.3%I'm in! The top! Top 89%! Seems like EC3 managed to turn a lot of his haters over into indifference this year, which is an. . . improvement? I'm gonna call it an improvement. Do you even remember that he beat Ambrose clean earlier this year?
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Go back to menacingly singing his theme song at people like he did as a face in TNA.
73A. Carmella (47.8% - 37% - 15.2%)Previous score: 65.5% - 19.6% - 14.9%Well, this placement isn't very F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. Stiff drop for Carmella this year, who just made the cut for the <65% writeups last year but this week is well below that standard. Is this any way to treat the woman who at the time of most of the voting was the 24/7 Champion? Honestly.
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Keep running around as R-Truth's babysitter, that seems to be working out.
73B. Erik (47.8% - 20.7% - 31.5%)Previous score: n/a (apparently he got overlooked, sorry)It's. . . THE RANKING EXPERIENCE! Yeah, I've got nothing, random tag guys are hard to comment on and he is truly the randomest of the tag guys.
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: A few more matches in the soundless vacuum of space will probably do the trick. Actually maybe not, since the Revival are way higher rated than these guys. Erm. . . Inverse then, make the crowd start actually caring?
73C. Kane (47.8% - 37% - 15.2%)Previous score: 38.6% - 50.3% - 11%Big turnaround for Kane this year, who went from roundly hated to fairly popular. It's always good to see a politician who manages to win the hearts of those initially hostile to him while he's in office. Or maybe he just benefited from having not been in any godawful tag matches this year.
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Be on TV more often, that seems to do the trick. Maybe do some more Saudi tag matches?
72. Shelton Benjamin (48.9% - 21.7% - 29.3%)Previous score: 45% - 27.5% - 27.5%Shelton, your thoughts on your ranking?
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Get a goatee and start claiming to be his own evil twin Benjamin Shelton.
71. Ivar (49.5% - 17.6% - 33%)Previous score: 48.1% - 18.5% - 33.3%Seems like the Main Roster Experience has actually only
improved the perception of
Hanson[/i] Ivar in the eyes of FAN, even if only marginally. Though I'm not sure how much of a successful raider you are if the populace actually likes you more after a year worth of work rather than less.
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Burn a village or two.
70. Akira Tozawa (50.5% - 12.1% - 37.4%)Previous score: 41.2% - 39.2% - 19.6%AH! AH! AH! AH! AH! AH! AH! AH! AH! AH!
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: What was he doing this time last year? Whatever it was it apparently worked judging by the rise this year so go back to doing that.
69. Naomi (51.1% - 31.5% - 17.4%)Previous score: 49.7% - 31.3% - 19%Seems like her husband's legal woes had no major impact on the general perception of his wife. Guess that's what happens when you're AMAY-YAY-YAY-YAY-ZING.
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Maybe go back to hanging out with Tamina? That'd probably do it.
67A. Cedric Alexander (53.3% - 22.8% - 23.9%)Previous score: 41.9% - 25.7% - 32.4%Another Cruiserweight on the way up, Cedric sees a big popularity boost this year. Guess maybe having him lose all the time really did work, huh? Paul Heyman is a genius! Next step, he needs to sleep with someone's wife.
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Start carrying signs asking people for favors, be rechristened as "Please" Sign Cedric.
67B. Charlotte Flair (53.3% - 40.2% - 6.5%)Previous score: 61.5% - 29.7% - 8.8%Quite a slip for Charlotte. Guess being removed from being beaten up by Becky every week hasn't really done her any favors, though still more of fan does like her than doesn't. Here's to a few dozen more Women's Championships!
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Come out every week and cut promos about what it's like having sex with Bram.
63A. The Brian Kendrick (54.3% - 18.5% - 27.2%)Previous score: 58.5% - 19.7% - 21.8%The plan doesn't seem to be working great for winning over the hearts and minds of FAN, but Brian Kendrick is still one of the most popular of the small flippy division so guess it isn't going that badly.
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: I actually have no idea? Even during his days in EV2.0 I can't really recall Kendrick ever being all that unpopular online. This one might be a wash. ... Did you even remember EV2.0 existed? What else can we dust off with TNA associations?
63B. Robert Roode (54.3% - 30.4% - 15.2%)Previous score: 41.9% - 40.5% - 17.6%Big boost in approval for Roode this week - guess FAN appreciates someone using their legal name over a silly childish nickname! This most assuredly is
not Bobby's World around here!
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Continue palling around with Dolph Ziggler, that'll probably end up doing the trick. Let's burn this shit down!
63C. Seth Rollins (54.3% - 41.3% - 4.3%)Previous score: 85% - 12.2% - 2.7%A 30% drop in approval?! Seth, this isn't who you are! THIS ISN'T YOU, COLBY.
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Could Seth be any more like Triple H, actually? He's basically his clone. Does the Pedigree, is a super unsympathetic face, very similar character arc of turning heel out of a stable to join up with the company's bosses and shooting up the ranks out of it, constantly clutching his knee in agony, seems to be into women who've been Women's Champion. I bet he's even aping the amount of approval Triple H has on FAN.
63D. Triple H (54.3% - 34.8% - 10.9%)Previous score: 51.4% - 38.4% - 10.3%Seems like even being the mastermind and constant face of NXT isn't quite enough for Triple H to win his way into almost half of FAN's heart, but at least this year he hasn't had any godawful tag matches! Granted, this year he also hasn't had any surprisingly good tag matches, so maybe that one's a wash.
Lizuka's tips on how to turn people away: Maybe he and his crop of young guys could start feeling like working Tuesdays?
Next time we pick up from #60. Are a few ties for that position as well.
