I have a really hard time seeing Mania being worth a damn this year, if only because if you're giving the belt to Brock then him against Reigns is basically the only option you have. But then again, writing off a whole show because of one match? If it's Reigns / Lesnar, yes, I will write off a show for one match. Absolutely. Especially given you still also have to fit the shambling remains of Taker and Triple H's bloated epics and probably Goldberg in there.

You joke, but that 100% will happen eventually.

Already deciding a show isn’t going to be good 7 months before it happens because of a hypothetical match that hasn’t even been hinted at? That’s some new level glass half empty shit.

I said I have a hard time seeing it being good. That isn't at all the same thing as declaring it for sure won't be. And it's not like WWE's earned the benefit of the doubt.

Changing the wording slightly doesn’t change the fact it is a very pessimistic outlook to already being down on Wrestlemania months before it even begins to take shape.

You joke, but that 100% will happen eventually. I'm not even joking. I made a thread recently stating that Bray should destroy folks as champion until Mania, where Braun finally beats him for the title. Even with *another* failure at Clash of Champions, I think this feud could be money. You've got the Wyatt Family backstory to play off of, and though they shouldn't have to keep doing it, Braun can still be built up fairly easily.

Nah, the money is in The Fiend vs. The Demon at WM, so my money would be on a returning Balor to win the Rumble. It's either that or Reigns wins. I guess there's always the option of sending Strowman to SD to win the Rumble and face Lesnar.

The Rumble winner sheepishly looks up at both guys and then says "...pass?" quietly and leaves and is never seen again. I am sorry for putting this out there, but I think he could pull it off and be hilarious, but Truth could win the Rumble, the next night on Raw, Lesnar and The Fiend both come out to confront him and he says "No thanks, I'm good." and that's how he retires.

clearly this would be chad gable's time!
also would be funny if the last couple of guys left are about to go at it, then brock and the fiend appear on a split screen on the tron looking to see who their challenger will be. and then one guy tries to eliminate himself before the other so they don't have to make that decision, as the other guy pulls them back into the ring as they make their own attempt to dive over the top rope to eliminate himself and avoid winning

I was thinking about this the other day, by the time RR comes around we could have The Fiend as Universal Champion and Brock as WWE Champion. If you win the rumble which one of those guys do you challenge? Lesnar and Wyatt as champions going into Wrestlemania? Jesus Christ....
