Vladimir Tarasenko of the Blues is having shoulder surgery and will be out till May. At least the Blues got their cup last season 5 months would be March. If everything goes well. He could be back just in time for the playoffs if they make it in. Which I think they can still do that.

He could be back just in time for the playoffs if they make it in. Which I think they can still do that. He will be re-evaluated in 5 months, so it's a pretty open timeframe. And especially with a player whose rocket shot is his strong point (and at times, his whole game) a shoulder injury is worrisome. He came back last season from another shoulder procedure and started really slow before breaking out in January. So while hockey players usually come back at the early projection versus most sports (baseball and basketball players will be out 6 weeks from a 2-4 week injury), I'm still now banking on anything from Tank even if we make the playoffs and go on a run. I'm not ruling it out either, but I'm certainly not betting on him being back and a game-changer at any point in the 2020 part of this season.

True, just saying it not officially season ending at this point because nobody said that from the Blues side. Tank came back early the first time than projected and was doing all the things in camp and ext. I believe they said 3 months after it, he was back on the ice the first time. Not saying he will be again but we will see. I'm sure if they can have him on the playoff roster, there going to. Now if they are out of the hunt which I doubt their going to be, they won't risk it. Time will tell but right now it not officially season over.

Don Cherry fired due to racist old grandpa words. Ron should get turfed too. But they both should have been gone years ago.

Don Cherry is a fossil who is willfully resistant to change. Good for them for finally putting him out, but they glossed over a lot of his shit over the years. He should have been done a long time ago, and his schtick isn't nearly as awesome as many Canadians make it out to be.

Time to change the thread's title to "Don Cherry, YOU'RE FIRED!" Cherry wore out his welcome a long long time ago.

Attending my first Fuel game of the season. Also thinking about carpooling to Chicago next Tuesday to see my Jerks take on the Blackhawks for my first NHL game.

Obviously the Red Wings will rehire him now. I was going to say the Sabres fire Krueger and hire Babcock.

5 straight coaches that couldn't get a single playoff victory have now gone through the meatgrinder of toronto. That position is cursed. Seems like another disappointing season for the maple laughs. I imagine the boy GM will be up on the chopping block next if things get worse

The only reason to keep him around is a tonedeaf appeal to traditionalism.

Rangers were down 4-0 at one point. They won 6-5.
