I don't know, maybe it's because I grew up watching Kane, Undertaker, and Big Show, all in their prime, but that doesn't impress me, even by "big guy standards". I don't care how much of a "legit badass" he is, because he won't be legit fighting anyone in WWE. I watch wresting to be entertained, and call it a hunch, but I'm guessing the guy with the charisma of a used bandaid who looks like somebody shit into a flesh-colored condom ain't gonna do it. I hear his cardio's great and all and yeah he can do some cool stuff but it's just not pulling me in. You mentioned charisma and maybe that's it because I'm feeling nothing really. Even Lashley has charisma based on his look, some guys walk good, some people just speak their charisma, some have a feeling of charisma like Brock but this dude. I'm just not feeling it. It's like...a CAW. It's hard to describe but that's what comes to mind. Cain has no charisma

WWE Fans: “Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn only care about physiques! What is it with their weird bodybuilder fetish?”
Somehow, also WWE Fans: “Ha ha, look at the doughy man’s flabby boobs!”

You know what, good, at least they're getting this over three weeks in and doing it at their shitty blood money show instead of dragging it to Mania. Or they pull a double DQ / no contest at Saudi and drag it out from there. And by drag it out... I mean... Brock disappears until like 3 weeks before mania.

That dude is a blackhole Dana tried to market him as a guy based upon his skill and no doubt you can make an argument in his prime he had all the tools to be the greatest of all time, that's how dangerous he is But he's not Conor or Ronda. Hell, he's not even Jon Bones Jones. Jones has minimal charisma speaking wise, his charisma comes in the ring and how he utterly decimates people in fashion

I know Cain is the guy who beat Brock for the title, but Overeem beat him, too. And Overeem has way, way, way more charisma than Cain ever could. Plus he has the look Vince goes for.

There's plenty of reasons to dislike Cain/the ending of Smackdown, but dogging on the dude's physique just seems kind of hypocritical.

For me it's Cain's crap tattoos that put me off. I legit thought he was Tito Ortiz from the photo.

The problem is more an issue of: the people you're mentioning are also trained wrestlers who have been at it for years and are known to be excellent workers. Cain's got a lot of MMA clout, obviously, but he's also had minimal training. If he looked like Nathan Jones or something, there'd be a "whoa, look at him" factor to mask some of his shortcomings, but he doesn't. What we're going to likely get is Heyman and I guess Rey trying their damnedest to sell people on a match that's probably going to suck a whole lot of dick, with two guys fumbling around for blood money. Maybe they'll surprise us, but probably not, because then it wouldn't be a surprise, would it? In any case, it's not this "gotcha, hypocrites!" argument so much as a case of not being the 1 to 1 comparison it might appear to be at first blush.

Honestly if people have to be told and reminded that he's threatening then that kinda tells me just how much of a failure this was. I'm sorry but no. He's f***ing destroyed The Rock on the YouTube views, which was one of the first excuses as to why it won't work.

They could both quite easily f*** me up if they wanted to!

Didn't watch, but from what I read here I assume that Cain Velasquez is a little bit bubbly now, is he?

I don't mind that they're bringing Cain in to work Brock. Dude has impressed me with his lucha things in AAA, and if WWE let him work that style, and Brock has his working boots on, could be fun. I do mind that they think this angle needs the World Title though. It really doesn't.

Bray and Owens?Belly sure but still have muscle? Now look at Kassius Ohno. That is just fat,no muscles to it. Look however you want to in life. In wrestling, where perception is everything, he looks like an average Joe. I know he did MMA only, but I'm not going out of my way to watch because I'm not an MMA guy, nor should you have to look outside of the wrestling bubble. I cannot use my imagination on how he could beat Brock based on his debut. I hadn't seen any of the Sheild guys wrestle before they debuted, but despite various sizes, they made a point and showed what they can do. For Owens debut, he made a statement against Cena. Guys like Owens, Wyatt hide the negative, look tough or have an interesting look and can talk well. Cain on the other hand, didn't look tough and the attack on Brock didn't grab my interest and was underwhelming despite Brock selling it well.
