Shit, I'm all out of waffles and broke my tire iron. Where can I get both without having to travel several states?

Eddie Kingston's been cutting the best promos this year. Kingston's been one of the best promos on the indies for years. You should check out his Chikara High Noon promo leading into his Grand Championship match.

Watched it earlier. While I will say I enjoyed it for the most part, some things weren't really my thing. I really did not like how pretty much everyone on promos came off like a-holes and dicks (except the two seconds of Trevor's). Not a whole lot of actual likeable mic workers yet, and James Storm really needs to get away from that Russo-esque style he's picked up, it doesn't fit with the rest of the show. Even Cabana was coming off like an insufferable dick at the end of his and Anderson's (and Anderson staring daggers through him for it tells me they're setting up a turn already).
Found the Tony Falk bit pointless and a bad rip-off of the old Jones' Big Ass BBQ ads on YT.

Loved it again this week. SHow my father the second episode. He grew up watching GCCW and some JCP. And he loved the show. Had me show him how to access youtube using his new TV.

Why don't they have entrance themes? Not much room to make an entrance really Yeah, but still you could play a short theme when they enter and/or after the match. The "no entrance themes" stuff is a bit TOO forced oldschool for me.

I think the first week was pretty good because it was a mixture of the unknown and having expectations be so low that I think people were going to really like it. The 2nd week was OK. I guess what I'm trying to figure out is what is their niche? Lagana on POST Wrestling said they have a 20 year plan. I highly doubt the NWA, at least in this incarnation will be around in 3 years. I thought Corgan bought the name, the library, history etc and hired a handful of talent that he can lease to either MLW, ROH, or AEW. I thought that was the point but we'll see. Once you get past the bells and whistles, the layout of the show, etc, there's not much there. There's no one on that roster that you can go "I can definitely see him in NXT or AEW." Just seems like the majority of the talent are locked up in deals, and they just got whatever's left.

I did notice that everyone on the mic veered into a heelish direction on this show, which is odd since I thought James Storm was a face on the last show. I do wonder what the endgame for this show is supposed to be. Is it an attempt to sell it to a network? Come on, TBS. Unless AEW has exclusivity on Turner networks I'm seeing Sat. at 6:05 on the Superstation.
I'm not sure how I feel about the Idol and Falk bits. Idol's thing was pretty fun, but the Falk thing veered too much in the camp direction. Almost too much like Southpaw Regional Wrestling or something. Might as well have Malibu Al show up to sell used cars.

I didn't hate it, but I wasn't expecting something totally surreal like that. If these are just an excuse to continue the old school local access vibe plus give some old school territory wrestlers like Falk a pay day, I say keep it up.

That there isn't anybody really likable on the show is a big problem for me. You have Ken Anderson, who for most of his career has had a character that can be summed up with the word "Asshole", Gangbangers Homicide and Kingston, Bram and Aron Stevens. It's also pretty hard to see where Nick Aldis falls in alignment.
That, and a lot of the talent being dudes that were damaged by their runs in TNA, and the extreme retro(grade) feel makes it hard to get into the show.

I loved the first show but must admit I was somewhat underwhelmed by this one. Seeing Ken Anderson turn up was a real low point for me, he's one of those wrestlers that just has instant turn the channel appeal to me and honestly, just seems so dated now too. Hopefully these established names are temporary fixes though and will eventually be used to get new names over.

I think Mr. Anderson has had pretty great moments in his career. Problem is just that 50 % of the time he is lame.

Another thing I've noticed after looking at the roster - most of the dudes on the show are over 6ft, and Homicide is the smallest dude there with a billed height of 5ft10. And Allysin Kay is also 5ft10.
I hope they don't end up passing over dudes because of they aren't a certain size, and that being tall and jacked is the only thing that matters.

(I think he's boring in WWE.)

I think it's a matter of not having cookie cutter faces, which is a fine twist on things for me.

I’m pretty sure James Storm is supposed to be a heel because the way he took the NWA North American title was a total dick move, preying on an injured Cabana during the RoH cross-promotion era. That said, they confused me by having Storm being very facey last week with Jocephus.

I'm hit or miss so far. I enjoyed the Trevor Murdoch match but the past match interview has seemingly made me purge the winner's name from my mind. The Sportsmanship from Murdoch was a cool moment.
Women's match was good and I enjoyed the sequence of the challenger going through the same combo moveset only to hit her final combo blow the second time. Makes the match feel like she planned the combo ahead and was dedicated to using it to gain the advantage.
Mr. Anderson is...that dude seems like he's stuck outside a theater asking when the next showing of Old School is on. Colt Cabana and he make for an awkward team. Chuckled at Cornette's anger toward the boot tag. In this weird nostalgia throwback, he fits even better than in MLW.
I like Eddie Kingston but...I've never seen that much of him. Main Event was there.
I keep noticing specific people and there is one person I swear was drug to the show by her boyfriend and is doing her very best to learn/enjoy with him.
