Shout out to ACH because it did need to be said. Things never improve and nobody learns anything unless somebody rocks the boat and make people aware of WHY something is f***ed. Intent is nice but impact is everything and this is a worse impact than any TNA show

Honestly the Gray version doesn’t scream black face at all to me. Wonder if someone just amped up the black of the shirt and that’s where the issue comes from. Because imo the gray, while stupid looking, doesn’t scream racist like the black one. You wouldn't need to "amp up the black of the shirt." All of the uninspired NXT designs were on their print to order Custom Tee line of shirts, so you could get the shirt in a few different colors, including black.

I'm usually a good gauge on stuff like this because I have a very high moral outrage threshold. And even I'd say this shirt is bad on so many levels...so it must be nuclear bad!

If people are thinking ACH is going to be punished for bringing this stuff to light when the past year and a half, everyone’s been cutting shoot promos via Twitter on everybody else, the fans, the company, the company’s grandmother, the company’s cousin from Kentucky...
Then Holy Shit, we’re going to have to go on a damn purge in the next day or so. The only people who will be left working there is Oney Lorcen and Keith Lee.

Ah didn’t realize you could order different colors. I still stand by I don’t see a blackface shirt unless it’s on the solid black background

Somebody was given a vague description of what to design and designed the logo for the build a tee line without taking into consideration how it could look on a black shirt. Although, I’d still talk to the dude who designed it. That logo by itself is still pretty questionable

Vince: "Every week I'm supposed to take four hours and quality control t-shirts. The one year I skip out on it this happens."

Myles has already said it doesn't matter that it got taken down. He's still angry that it ever got made in the first place. I hate to say it’s probably best he get over it

So is he quitting or what?
What is he asking for if removing the shirt isn’t enough

This is one of those things where he should've went to people there in private and asked if they were aware of the connotation this has instead of blasting his bosses on Twitter who have way more pressing matters than small fish t-shirt designs. Don't want to earn a bad rep for what is likely an oversight never meant to hurt anyone. I admit I do not know him or how this ties into his character, but as someone who works a lot in Photoshop, it could be an honest mistake by a graphic designer if they don't have a lot of material for somebody yet to be established. You could see how it'd happen if they're working with transparent backgrounds for the customizable 'choose your own color' shirt design, as well.
Now, if he did bring it up internally and they told him to relax and not worry about it, that would be bullshit and worth making public to show how they're downplaying some painful imagery for profit. I 100% saw it right away, and yeah, that is definitely not an okay shirt to release.

I had noticed he hasn't been on NXT since his title match against Adam Cole and am now wondering if this is relevant to the reason why he hasn't been heard from (dont think he's injured?)

So is he quitting or what? What is he asking for if removing the shirt isn’t enough The WWE to actively change their culture of casual racism? For them to actually put some thought into the merchandise for 90% of the roster or say they'll apply some quality control so things like this can't happen again?

Is this the reason he hasn't been used much lately? Maybe he brought this up privately and when he realized that wasn't going to work, might as well go full force with it.
Either way, that was an awful design that could have been avoided if the design team would have done at least a little research.

I would say that's probably exactly what happened given the, "I will keep posting this till my voice is heard," at the start of it.

I'm not sure if going to social media first is the best thing... There has to be a person he could have called about that . Putting your place of employment on blast with charges of racism over something that might be a honest mistake, to me is a bit questionable.

I too think it’s a bit weird that he’s complaining about this now when the shirt was pulled a month ago, but still - how did that design even get green lit? You’re telling me no one in WWE’s marketing department saw a problem with this before it went up on the site? Its not about when it was pulled, its about the fact it even happened in the first place and the fact that this was so deep into production that it made it to a website. I think it's super easy to figure out why. The designers and everyone in the line don't have a background where black face was an issue for them. They probably didn't think much about it because they didn't make that connection.

What if it was a black dude who designed that shirt and thought it was funny? No matter who, it's a stupid mistake from someone. Hopefully she/he will understand that old timey jokes don't fly in nowadays society. ACH probably wants some eyes on himself, so WWE will actually remember to try push him at some point. He's pretty good if I remember right.

It's a company that has a track record of punishing those who go to management to complain, look at how they handled the complaints about DeMott and others at NXT. They hung everyone there out to dry and clung on to DeMott in spite of the complaints and the vast number of people injured by his BS.
