That dude didn't even attack Mauro or AJ. Just gave an opinion on who his favorites were. WTF is going on? If this was one of those fans that goes all nutty talking shit I'd get that level of response but wow. Can't even state a preference without worry that some WWE dude is gonna go hard now?

I'm not saying that other people shouldn't, but the vast majority of the time (which is actually very rare) that I state an opinion on anything wrestling on Twitter, I don't tag the people I have an opinion about (most of the time, I'll even remove a tagged wrestler if I'm responding to someone else who tagged them). Yeah, nobody follows me and I have no reach (so nobody will ever see it), but I also know I'll never start shitstorms that way.

No one has more contempt for their customers than WWE. Dante Hicks and Randal Graves are more respectful to their clientele.

It really feels like people in WWE right now are at their lowest point morale wise. I can't remember a time when shit was this tense and this spiteful between both fans and wrestlers alike. I'm sure wrestlers wanna stand up for their stuff for multiple reasons, not wanting to piss anyone off, actually being glad they're being used, etc., but stuff like the Rusev comment is telling. There has been so much tension just this year alone that I don't know how much more there is gonna be before there is a complete and utter break. This does feel like the TNA wrestlers bashing people for all those reports of "morale is low" reports doesnt it?

No I get that 100%, if I bothered posting on twitter that's what I'd do too. Maybe it's the forum style poster in me but I have an absolute zero desire in sending my opinions directly to a talent. I'm about discussing fan things with fans, not trying to get into a discussion/argument/cry-for-attention from any of these guys. Especially now that this wagon circling seems to be in effect for even small ass comments like this one.

All the comments too are just like WAY TO GO AJ MAURO THE BEST with Mauro sending them all heart reacts which is surreal with the comment of AJ trashing a dude who just had a different opinion...like what the hell is WWEs atmosphere that they have to be like this?

WWE is a very well paid cult where anyone not WWE is wrong. Damn shame. It's like that scene from The Simpsons episode "The Joy of Sect", after the Movementarians bought the TV station, Kent Brockman dropped his investigative report & immediately swore undying loyalty to the cult.

If this was AJ defending a friend from trash talk I'd get it. But this fan said he likes Mauro, he just likes someone else better. Nuts.

I completely agree with you but it also should be said there are people who deliberately search their name and start fights with people who do. Not that any WWE superstar is as petty as Ricky Gervais in this regard because they’re always on the road but the possibility is there.

Happened with me with Austin Aries. I didn't start a shitstorm, but some people have I am sure.

Hey, c'mon Cornette, call out AJ for differentiating wrestling from sports where people get knocked out.

Fan: I love Mauro, and he should be on RAW instead of NXT, but I'm not going to let my fandom cloud my judgment like you are likely told to due to the workplace edict.
AJ: *Muscular man entering restaurant meme*
...like, is this normal? People yelling at fans for passive observations? I'd get it if someone mocked a fellow employee due to gender, race, or ability, but just saying "we shouldn't put X over Y because they work at A instead of B" shouldn't trigger you to go into a rage.

It's gotten exponentially worse since their 'All Hands on Deck' meeting this last Monday. Yes, there have been pop-offs by wrestlers in the WWE from time to time, but it just seems like we're getting 3-4 of these on a daily basis now, whether it be against the wrestling media or the "fans" themselves. The AEW roster isn't innocent of this either, but directly attacking the opinions of fans is something I'd expect from our "trollier" members here on these forum boards, not from contractually-signed WWE talent, ESPECIALLY ones who are supposed to be babyfaces in kayfabe.

How the hell are we at the point where a guy who is literally just stating his opinion is getting attacked by WWE wrestlers like he stabbed their family? Like holy shit. These guys need to get the hell off of Twitter if this is the way they wanna behave. They aren't helping Mauro, they aren't helping themselves, they come off as extremely petty individuals.

So, uh... That segment.
Rusev sure came out looking good, didn't he? That fan deserved being yelled at for wanting to not see any more of it.
