When they got the rights, Spike must have played Star Wars 5 times a day for years. It was Pros vs. Joe’s, 1000 Ways to Die, Cops, and then Star Wars endlessly.

Flash Gordon got a lot of airings back in the day as well. I remember the first time I stumbled upon it on cable as a kid, I didnt exactly know what was going on, but I did think it was awesome.

In the mid 1980s, HBO showed The Empire Strikes Back all the time. Never New Hope or Jedi......always Empire.

I'm not sure about in the past, but these days? Independence Day seems to be on regularly.

I remember Terminator 2 being on TV a lot back in the day, while the first one wasn't on that much. It's actually the reason why I didn't see Terminator 1 until a few years ago.

I swear Funny Farm starring Chevy Chase was on HBO at least twice a week for many years.
