Pretty decent opener. Felt like a very basic Rick and Morty style story with some great animation and some good jokes.
Also, RIP Mike Mendel

Yeah, the animation looked slicker.

Coming in here to say that the UK premiere of Rick and Morty will be on the 20th November on E4 instead of January because of (understandable) fan backlash and will be available on All4.

Yeah, the animation looked slicker. Yea, the Akira like tentacle monster was really good animation Def like that it seems Morty isn't going to be as timid either at least that is the indication early on

Why the hell were they trying to push it back almost 2 months? Welcome to UK TV for, like, forever. What made this time weirder, though, is that Channel 4 has all the UK Adult Swim rights (All4 has almost every Adult Swim show streamable for free too) so could pretty easily get the thing as soon as if they wanted. But I don’t even know why they thought they could get away with that or what happened before to set the date for January.

Rick: "You have a death crystal on you? I thought you were masturbating!" Morty: "AND YOU TOOK THAT IN STRIDE?!" Rick: "Would you rather I addressed it?"
Great to have this show back.

eh, there's not enough fascism in this thread. I'm going to go find a different one to discuss the episode

The comedy on the episode was top notch.
Also Morty is becoming more assertive and owing up to himself

I thought there were a lot of funny beats throughout, and though I liked it, I’m surprised at the tameness of it all. I don’t know why, but I expected more push back against the show’s popularity itself, but instead it was almost embracing it with the call backs like at the end and referencing the Meeseeks and the happy message at the end. Makes me curious if the next few episodes will keep up the same tone.

The wasp family dinner was a bit unsettling
So are the clones just the original rick’s mind in a new body or just a clone that happens to have all the original Rick’s memories at the time of (each) death? He seems to be well aware of where he is and what’s going on with each reincarnation

I'm actually only just now getting into Rick and Morty, just watched Season 3, episode 5.
I didn't realize there were after the credits scenes until halfway through Season 2. *facepalm*
I don't know why I didn't watch this show sooner, loving every minute of it.
I think one of my favorite small moments so far was Werner Herzog's guest appearance in Interdimensional Cable 2. I was unaware he had done voices for Adult Swim shows in the past to it was surprising to hear him here. Had me googling instantly to see if it was really him, and it was.

Comedy has been clever, but not hilarious this season.

Thought half of the episode was fine. The Morty/Jerry plot was weak, but I did think the stuff with Rick was great, especially the ending being one of the rare defeats for Rick.

Bumping because I just got caught up on the last three episodes. The entire Snake story was hilarious.
