“Bell, spear” would’ve been over as hell and would not have made him look any worse than what the match was. Him being caught off guard makes him look better than his offence being shrugged off. Nobody wants a dolph ziggler match to go beyond 1 minute nowadays

They should of let him quit. There’s no Money to be made from this jack off what so ever.
What’s he going to do somewhere else? Cut a shoot promo about how shit WWE was then flounder in Mediocrity ?

They are far more problematic individuals working for WWE, but Dolph has to be the most consistently loathsome.
It’s nice to know that the guy who likes to dunk on for being concerned about booking is… actually considered about booking to the point of threatening to quit. That tracks.

Remember in the 80's when bruno Sammartino came back and defeated macho man for the ic title? Or in the 90's when Jake the Snake won king of the ring over Steve Austin? ....No? I love legends, but this is why no one today is a star. They put legends, old timers and celebrities over and make their current talent look like shit in the process. And they've been doing it for years. If dolph is gonna do the job, at least let him hang with a retired star for a little bit. I remember Savage and Austin being over too

Brock freaking Lesnar lost pretty much in bell spear fashion to Bill. Why was Dolph expecting anything more than that?!
He really is a comedian.

The Dolph/Goldberg segment was the best part of Summerslam.

Seems like the right time of the month for another Dolph "I was gonna quit for reals" Ziggler comment If it doesn't happen in a 25 to 28 day cycle, well...I guess he's truly f***ed.

That’s cute, Dolph.
WWE doesn’t even fire wrestlers, let alone allow people to quit. You’re there for as long as they say you’re there.

I thought what they did was horrible, but I really don't see any way at all it wouldn't have been.

I swear, I am usually not supportive of people being contentious or contrary for its own sake, but every time people start talking about Ziggler, all I want to do is defend him. There just seems to be such weird, personal contempt; I sincerely don't get it.

Dolph talking his way into another beatdown while gasping for breath was hilarious. Most entertaining thing he's done in years.

WWE - "lol"

They could probably stop paying Dolph and just give him a replica Universal championship from the store and tell him he's champ for life

The Dolph/Goldberg segment was the best part of Summerslam. The Raw thread, where he was challenging for Summerslam, and everyone got to him, before Goldberg did, was funny, too.

There just seems to be such weird, personal contempt; I sincerely don't get it. He constantly bitches. Then lashes out at fans for similar bitching. He was going after fans BEFORE the Goldberg match hard I recall. Now we learned he was “upset and threatened to quit” on the day. Rinse and repeat. I don’t even think the dolph hate is particularly high anymore, it’s just apathy at this point.

"It was all Dolph's idea and he fought all day for what made it interesting" is I guess the best explanation for why nothing ever came of this
