I swear, I am usually not supportive of people being contentious or contrary for its own sake, but every time people start talking about Ziggler, all I want to do is defend him. There just seems to be such weird, personal contempt; I sincerely don't get it. He constantly bitches. Then lashes out at fans for similar bitching. He was going after fans BEFORE the Goldberg match hard I recall. Now we learned he was “upset and threatened to quit” on the day. Rinse and repeat. I don’t even think the dolph hate is particularly high anymore, it’s just apathy at this point. That's... obviously in character, though. And people aren't reacting to him like he's an annoying character, but rather that he's somehow inherently boring and unworthy of attention and terrible.

If Dolph left, who would really notice?

Well Nike do I walk into Vince's office like I'm the shit Tell em if he gimme "bell, spear" them imma quit Most wrestlers' mat work are done by bad actors Superkick to the face cause I am a master Rarely do press but my press always offend Plus, my girl say I mastered this like Ken Something bout Steph, she's gone off that Hunter Don't like me, then NXT, I'll be wrestling Gunner Now fans are hating but Vince moving those bills You think it's funny but my ZigZag do kill You watching tv saying you hate to see me I'm pinning your favs staying alive like the BeeGees

Remember in the 80's when bruno Sammartino came back and defeated macho man for the ic title? Or in the 90's when Jake the Snake won king of the ring over Steve Austin? ....No? I love legends, but this is why no one today is a star. They put legends, old timers and celebrities over and make their current talent look like shit in the process. And they've been doing it for years. If dolph is gonna do the job, at least let him hang with a retired star for a little bit. I notice you don't say anything about old veteran Jake getting the win over young up and comer Bob Holly though

There just seems to be such weird, personal contempt; I sincerely don't get it. For the better part of the last 9 years, Dolph has complained publicly about his booking. So much that it became part of his on-screen character. Fans we're ready to see him leave and see what he could do without WWE's restrictions. And when the time came for him to spread his wings. He re-signed with the company. Twice. And nothing changed. His booking is just as it was before. Maybe worse. He's lost fan support. He became the boy who cried wolf. And now no one believes him anymore. He could have took a chance on the Indy's. Reinvent himself. New Japan. Impact. He might even be in AEW right now if he betted on himself and took the risk. Dolph is pretty much what Cody would have been like if Dolph stayed. And I believe that Dolph could have been Cody had Dolph left. But we'll never know that. Because, no matter how much he complains. No matter how much he may hate his booking. Dolph will never leave.

Current Dolph Ziggler is like Vince Russo became the worlds shittiest ventriloquist and Dolph is his dummy.

Just let him go. I was a huge Dolph fan, but he's so dull, not just stale, but just there. I'm not even sure a new setting would help that much.
If he want to AEW or IMPACT I feel like he'd come off as a half rate Jericho instead of a half rate HBK lmao

The match would have been 10x more memorable if it was just a spear and a jackhammer, lol.

I thought the immediate superkick by Dolph was brilliant. Of course Goldberg was gonna win but it made for a great shocking moment and a half second of doubt.

Dolph has stuck with his watery 6 week-old rice version of heel HBK forever. Like even when he cut his hair that one time he was the exact same character just with a haircut.

I just meant he would try Jericho's troll kind of gimmick and he doesn't have the chops to pull it off.

Ziggler actually was (and is) being booked badly. What's there to "not believe" him about? I know his booking is bad; I can see it on my TV. Are you saying he's lying about the fact that bad booking bothers him? Maybe... that could be a character. But what's it matter even if it's not? There's plenty of reasons someone would both think their treatment at a job sucks and also think it's preferable to stay in that job. It's not a reason to dislike a guy the extent that people do. I dunno, there's this weird glee some people have whenever a wrestler complains about their booking from the WWE and then later fails.

Lol, Dolph Ziggler. He is bad. That dude never believed in himself if he did he would have left years ago. The E should toss this guy out into the void and never be seen again. He brings no value and what's worse the dude is toxic. Anyone who feuds with him nowadays or is associated with him gain nothing but a bit of his curse. Promotions need to steer clear of him like the plague
Lol ziggler

At this point, I am not sure what else can be said about Dolph and his threats to leave, especially now that options do exist. ROH, Impact, and most likely AEW could find a spot somewhere for Nick Nemeth. It isn't like I am unsympathetic, pretty much his whole career has been in WWE, but if he's really unhappy, he needs to take a chance. That being said, if this did happened, kinda glad he stuck up for himself. Not like it was anything special, but it could have been lamer. If nothing else, I'm sure Billy Corgan would have a spot for him on Powerrr. Aron Rex tanked his value with that disastrous run in Impact and Corgan still had a spot for him.

As much as we rag on Dolph, he is a bigger deal than Aron ever was.

Ziggler used to bang on about being the best in the ring but it's 2019 now and so there are many many more in AEW, NJPW and the other companies who do this job inside the ring and character wise better than him. Under all his bluster he knows this too. He will bitch about WWE but it's a safe bet for him. It's good money and he won't risk that to sink or swim in a wrestling world outside WWE.

With the wrestlers and their......attitudes recently, I feel like if he'd been given "bell, spear" he would've not quit and still said "whatever, what are you gonna do?" anyway.
