Can someone sum up what happened? I did not watch the show for once. Basically Lana came out, gave a rambling speech about when she started having sex with Lashley, said she was pregnant, and then started whining about how it was making her fat and she didn't want to be. Rusev came out and basically just said, "Nuh-uh!", Lana started smacking him, then Lashley came out and hit like two moves then he and Lana left and as they did Lana yelled that she made it up. Basically every other word through the whole segment was "sex" and the entire time you had King guffawing over every single word to make it extra obnoxious. I thankfully don't watch Raw anymore, but if that's really how it went down then I'm really glad I put my eggs in the AEW basket.

I turned my TV down because people were wandering around and this exceeds even my lack of shame, but I still heard King say something like "You're the man, Rusev!" when Lana claimed she was pregnant. blech.

I'm really not at all opposed to bringing it up in passing but just jabbering on and on and on and ON about it like that, what the hell? It's not even really necessarily offensive so much as I have to imagine that kids would either 1), be completely bored out of their minds during it if they don't know what it's referring to, or 2), snicker the first couple times if they do and then be bored out of their mind at it being beaten into the ground. ... And what was this scheme even supposed to accomplish? Did Lana really need to yammer on for a couple of decades about how fat she's getting or something just for Lashley to come out and do like two moves? Also how is Lana a significantly worse promo speaking normally than she is when she has to do a silly accent? Can someone please get Paul Heyman laid already? It was awful awful shit, but this thread title is Helen Lovejoy level of "think of the children " lmao

People wanted the PG era to end. I hope they’re happy now.

It reeks of WWE wanting to have their cake and eat it too. They still want to be PG, but be more edgy, too. But they can’t really do anything all that provoctive. Because they have too many people to answer to. So stuff like this just comes across as silly. I’m not against a little trash in h wrestling. But this ain’t hitting the mark for me. I'm fine with when they do something that actually serves a point, like the Mandy/Naomi storyline. They were provocative with it while keeping it within their boundaries, built to an actual match, etc. It's weird being wistful for something that wasn't, like, amazing or anything, but it was sex in wrestling done competently.

It's one thing to have a terrible, cringe inducing angle. But at least have it...you know...progress from week to week. That's twice now that Lana's said one thing at the start of a segment only to say the complete opposite at the end of the segment and put it back to square one.
I know this sounds crazy folks but I'm beginning to think WWE don't know where they're going with this.

It is aimed at kids. Either there's this awful bullshit "edgy" garbage. Or the heels are literally like 12-year old bullies telling Ricochet and others that they don't have any friends, they're losers, etc.
This shit is corny as f***. They didn't do this lame shit in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.

What is with WWE’s obsession in booking happily married Rusev and Lana into these kinds of angles? Vince is still pissed off Lana and Rusev got married without his permission.

If I had kids, I wouldn't allow them to watch these Lana/Lashley/Rusev segments.
Not because of the sexual references, but because it's a hot pile of shit.

To quote my 14 year old son (who's not a wrestling fan) when he saw the restaurant skit with lashley and lana:
"This is stupid".

.... Me and the relatives enjoyed the segment one way or another. And they only catch glimpses of wrestling once every blue moon
