www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/dxqndj/wor_kairi_sanes_contract_is_up_early_next_year/This comes about right when Takaaki Kidani from Bushiroad did an interview saying one of his main goals for STARDOM was to get Kairi (and Io Shirai) back into the company. Would be huge if that happens, but I'd imagine WWE will offer Kairi a pretty large amount to stay if STARDOM are showing interest. AEW will probably inquire too, but if Kairi leaves, I'd imagine it would be to go back to Japan.

January through April are going to be interesting times for WWE. From what I can tell, there's at least a dozen, if not two dozen, contracts coming up during that time period.

She has options but they haven't treated her bad there
Having her with Asuka is the best thing for her at the moment tho you could argue she could stayed in NXT too
Good luck getting Io back tho. That is HHH's star and he treats her as such

Yeah, considering there’s a possibility of STARDOM having a bigger presence in wrestling in 2020-2021 but the prospect of them working in America occasionally on NJoA shows, I can’t blame her for at least looking at the wider wrestling world now.
It could go either way. They could keep her with a good deal but then she could also think “Did my time, got my money, let’s see where this goes”.

I'm guessing she'll resign after they give her a huge money offer. Other then Ambrose I can't really think of anyone in recent years who left after deciding not to renew their contract. Seems like everyone else resigns no matter how bad their position in the company is.

HHH tried to keep her as long as possible but in the world of three brands now, he's going to fight for who he wants. Io is his current star and she could equal what he did with Asuka I believe Circumstances are different now and considering Io being younger than Asuka as well, it's not outside the realm of possibility she is one of the top faces of his brand if/when they start leaving Full Sail

Not to say it’ll be mega bucks match-WWE-penny-for-penny but Bushiroad is probably going to bankroll them to lock down certain talents and allow for other stuff WWE can’t.

Yeah I doubt she's leaving. She's probably gonna take that crazy 5 year contract.

Depends on if she wants to continue living in America would be my guess. Who knows she may want to go home.
I will say that the WWE will likely WCW itself by offering stupid contracts to most everyone to keep them from going to AEW or elsewhere.

Of course, it all depends on freedom and what the offer is. If you tell me WWE offers me 400k and Bushiroad/Stardom says 325K, i'll consider it because I get the freedom to do other shit and I can make up that money elsewhere They are going to bankroll high end talent for sure meaning Stardom, just a matter of what Kairi wants. She is still young as well as Io. Asuka and Shinsuke are at the points in their lives where they just enjoy everything for what it is because they are at the tail end and just want to be able to enjoy time with their activities and family

It is gonna be quite the bidding war for her talents because while she may hold tag gold now they still haven't treated her the way you would think someone of her talent should be treated and that may be more than enough for her to be like money is nice but no thanks.
But what WWE has to worrie about is if she leaves then the domino effect starts and Io when her contract comes up may leave as well and other japanese women may no longer desire to come to WWE.
And then you got Riho in AEW and Kenny trying to basically recruit Joshi talent for that division Kairi would be slotted right at the top out the gate.
And then u got Stardom and NJPWs whole influence there now.
She is gonna have so many options and what she chooses to do may also have a future affect on Io's choice.

As previously noted, there is talk that Kairi Sane could be leaving WWE when her contract expires in 2020. As far as Asuka goes, the belief is that she won't be leaving WWE. Dave Meltzer noted the following about Asuka's status:
“I’ve heard no rumblings whatsoever of Asuka leaving,” Meltzer said. “I’m under the impression she’s very happy in this country.”
There is speculation that Asuka could be getting a renewed singles push soon and will be facing Becky Lynch at the Royal Rumble.
