Just get Zane doing his Cornette impression, an upgrade if you ask me ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) I love irony so Zane doing it would be cool, sans the impression though. Has the guy ever done commentary? I don`t think so.He did work as a interviewer for ROH back in october. Maybe he got a chance at commentary but I didn`t watch it to say for sure.

Who's somebody with an even WORSE reputation than Corny that hasn't been run out of the biz yet? The NWA are pleased to announce their new commentator, Jay Brisco!

Thats not fixing the Problem they had this Week at all. The difference is that this is a dude who made one comment he shouldn't have, as opposed to the guy who has said about ten thousand things he shouldn't have.

I'd also like to suggest Matt Striker, but he might be too "smarky" for an NWA throwback type show.

Prob'ly Colt, though ROH might have a fit because they use him in that capacity as well.

Superstar Billy Graham It serious answer: Raven. He'd knock that out of the park IMO. Former NWA champ. Loves old school territory wrestling but has a link to the modern style, opinionated as Corny but half the asshole and none of the racism. Love this answer for all the reasons you name. Also, he brings in the NWA TNA era of the title.

How about Stan Lane? He did decent when he would do commentary in the WWF and is a name quite a few old school fans will remember (even though Cornette was his manager for a while). Tune in to the new NWA commentary team The Conners Express! I still say find David Crockett. That's who you need to make the Techwood-like experience authentic. Who else? Tony and JR are of course occupied. Is Bob Caudle still with us? Bob Caudle is still with us, but is in his 80s and has had at least one major heart attack. Last I had heard, he and his wife were in an assisted living facility, and he pulled out of an appearance in Charlotte this year because he wasn't physically up for the travel, hotel stay, etc. I've had the pleasure to meet him, and like everyone seems to say about him, he's a wonderful, classy human being and I hope he's doing well.

I'd laugh and laugh if they brought in Vic Venom to replace Corny.

Host of WWF Superstars late 80s - early 90s and play by play same time period. Pretty good at his job and seems like a genuinely nice guy. He was on the lapsed fan a few months ago and he came off as the nicest, most humble person.

He grabbed a group of us and asked questions about AEW and possible competition with WWE. I wonder if that footage ended up being used for anything.
