Earlier on Youtube I randomly got recommended a video called something like, "AEW ripping off Firefly Fun House?" with the thumbnail showing this segment. Which... I honestly am trying to wrap my head around how on earth this could be a FFH ripoff. They're both innocent-seeming cult recruitment videos, but Bray didn't invent that and the actual execution is radically different.

Now that I think about it, what's Mil Muertes up to these days? Bring him in as a heavy with his own agenda that eventually branches off and does his own thing, if only for the inevitable reunion with Fenix

The Dark Order might be the biggest example now outside of Page of AEW listening to fan feedback, and adapting and turning something into Gold Dark Order's f***ing awesome now, and they didn't even need much tweaking! They just needed to give us a reason to care and stuff like last week and this week are gonna do it. More Hedonism

Because the WWE invented the concept of something nice and more innocent being corrupt and dark.

I love how much of a 180 it is from their general presentation. Leading with the cartoonishly all-out evil, then pulling it back to creepy recruitment videos, is much funnier than the natural progression would have been. It's somehow got the exact same appeal as Firefly Funhouse/Fiend while being totally different.

It looks like we are now learning! Fantastic!

To a certain audience, merely existing proves that AEW is ripping off WWE. Logic be damned.

Would love to see kenny go full crazy and join after losing to Pac for the second time next week. Let's take this full comic book/anime/video game style. You have people kind of subtly joining Dark Order under the radar, with the commentators looking at the Creepers and maybe just asking "is it me, or are there more of those guys than last time?" Maybe you have Peter Avalon join given his losing streak and exhaustion with the Librarian gimmick. Granted, I like imagining him joining because the masks are cursed or something, ala the helmets that just repeat the Anti-Life Equation over and over again, but perhaps that's a bit much. Still, it'd be one of those things where Dark Order mostly seems to be bringing in goons and lower card henchmen, but all along, without people higher on the card noticing, someone like Kenny is their prime target number one. Then you get that dramatic anime reveal where there's a fight going on between the Order and maybe some of the Elite, only for Kenny to enter and basically reveal a big 'ol Majin Vegeta "M" on his forehead, or whatever equivalent you want to use. Hell, go back to the Smash Bros. calling the Creepers their Heartless and let Kenny wear a long leather coat and call himself Oaxmeg or something. Somehow it all ends with a cataclysmic JRPG battle set in a dimension trapped between time and space, where Kenny has to fight off the control they have over him; you guessed it, the final battle will take place in the parking lot of a TGIFridays.

As long as they don’t interrupt Baron Corbin’s shift that day.

The dark, spooky cult gimmick is single handedly my least favourite gimmick in wrestling.
These guys are great.
