I enjoy it but it’s definitely not addictive to me. I couldn’t wait to watch the weekly TNA PPVs back in 2002. It felt like they were always giving you something different and you never knew what to expect. I really enjoyed that aspect of it. It feels like the main event scene is way too limited in AEW and that we see the same dozen or so people most of the time. We saw some faces we usually don’t get to see in that recent battle royal. We need more diversity. I was definitely happy to see that Dark Order vignette. We need more stuff like that too. Make people want to see things play out. That’s how people get hooked in.

Love it, is it perfect? No. Is any wrestling company? No. It's a breath of fresh air though and for the first time guys dont have to just look and see WWE as the only option for big US exposure anymore and it makes me happy.

I have the same attitude towards it I had towards WCW, there are things I love, things I hate but as long as there are more positives than negatives I can overlook it and enjoy.
I don't like certain gimmicks, I don't like the way so many seem aimless, but I appreciate they are listening to criticism andtrying to improve it.

It needs work, and I watch it every week, but of course it should need work. It's a new product that is finding it's way. The key will be a month or two months from now to see if they are able to pick up some of the weaknesses of the program, while still being able to accentuate the strengths.
Things that AEW does well:
1. Differing styles. You can have a Rey Fenix match and a Jon Moxley match on the same show.
2. Great babyfaces, great heels: For a show that said shades of grey, they have done a much better job than WWE of having top tier babyfaces(Cody Rhodes) and heels (Jericho).
3. Announcing: Yes, JR is way past his prime, but Excalibur and Tony are so far ahead of anything WWE presents. It feels like you are watching a show where an old man isn't yelling in their ear.
Now for the bad:
1. Lack of character development: This goes more to the women's division than anything, but there is too much of the roster that just shows up one week, and you don't know who they are. You have seen them try to work on this (Dark Order vignette), but you have to give people more of a reason to care at times.
2. Shades of grey: I talked about this as a positive above, now a negative. There was a great Fenix-Jackson match this week, Fenix looks like he can be a star. However, the Lucha Brothers, who scream babyface, are being presented as heels, tweeners? because of reasons. SCU are heels, but then they're faces, the women's division I don't even know beside Riho and Britt Baker. On paper, shades of grey is great, but it feels like a glass ceiling for some of these guys.
3. Lack of knowable talent - This is not something they can help, and it's not even a knock per say, it is what it is. They have incredible talent, but they are a new company, and you can see at certain spots, they are not deep. Let's be honest, the women's division is Kong, Riho, and them continuing to push Britt Baker, who is not ready for that spot. They just need to add some talent. That takes time.

Womens division
Needs more face/heel wrestlers, less shade of grey. Not eliminate it, just less.
Marko Stunt, he shouldn't be able to hold his own against anyone in AEW. I'm really high on Jungle Boy
Riho, Imo vastly overrated, and her match with Britt Baker and all the spots that were messed up was 50/50, Not all on Britt.
For a brand new company they are doing pretty well so far.

The only thing I'm not 100% behind is the women's division. The talent is there, but there's no real direction to it. With the Kong and Brandi thing, though, hopefully something picks up.
Also, a couple big man wrestlers wouldn't hurt. Luchasaurus and Wardlow are a start.

Chalk me up as another one who thinks the women’s division is weak. It needs a bit more investment but I kinda get that it’s hard to get tv ready talent when you look at the amount of time and money WWE has put in for its women’s roster. It’s a more long term project I think.
Apart from a few production issues and JR being way past his prime, it’s been excellent overall.

Another vote for women's division. It needs work. Storyline-wise, yes. There have been some nice pickups/guest women in the last few weeks, they just need direction.

I find it much more enjoyable if I stay away from social media beforehand, and during, and after.

Already bailed on it. Gave it like four weeks and lost interest. Glad the majority here are enjoying it, but Cody/Jericho aside, there’s nothing there grabbing me. The ladies division is garbage right now, and man do I f***ing hate the Young Bucks.
So I’m Seinfeld gif-ing out for now. Maybe if there’s something amazing I’ll look in, but probably not.

Yeah, the quality of the women's matches has noticeably picked up the past few weeks, but I agree that they need a strong angle soon to really hook people. I'm not one to say "I want more promos/video packages" to allow for a story or character, but with how simple and effective the last two weeks were for the Dark Order, for example, I don't see why it couldn't work for a few of the ladies, besides the ones that Brandi and Kong have gotten. Other than that, though, I don't see what's not to like about the show: it's a super easy watch over two hours, and the best part to me is that none of it feels like wasted time. NJPW is still my top promotion that I follow regularly, and I get it if not all the talent on the show does it for everybody, but the show as a whole, in terms of structure, pacing, direction, etc.? It's pretty damn solid.

I've caught segments of it here and there and I'm in the "It's fine, but it's not 'Holy shit, it's Wednesday at 8 PM, get outta my way, it's AEW time!!!!'" crowd. I also think it's a "It's not you, it's me" situation, as I've really lost my interest in the concept of pro wrestling over the last 3 years or so. If I were still a big fan, I'd probably totally be on board. I feel the same about NXT, for the record.
I do go out of my way to find some of the Jericho stuff, however.

I really like it, but I think more of the appeal for me at the moment is the undercard stuff, rather than the main event program. When it first started, I would watch Dynamite from start to finish. For the past few weeks, it's been mostly catching the first half or three-quarters and then calling it good. Probably because I would rather do something else.

The women are directionless and I'm not sure they fully understand what they have in the Lucha Brothers. Especially of they think SCU is a better choice as the face of their tag division.
I do like that they're willing to give guys like Adam Page, The Dark Order, and Shawn Spears chances.
Guys on the roster who you wouldn't expect to get them based on all the other talent they have.

On the women, I think it's pretty clear early on they wanted Baker, Kylie, and Nyla as the pillars of the division. For various reasons, that has not worked out. I think as the Joshi talent has been able to commit more to AEW and they've signed more talent this will start to improve. As for the Lucha Bros, and this is just me speculating, but I think with how full their bookings are or at least have been they don't want to put them as the main feature yet

I just wish it wasn’t such a pain in the ass to watch for those who don’t have cable.
I’d be more into it if I could watch it on Hulu or something
