Well, we know Lana struggles with the fine print. It’s probably a multi-month, multi-thousand dollar contract.

The next time they get into a shitty storyline don't come crying to me That’s where I’m at. A lot of our gripes with how talent get booked have this undercurrent of projection where it’s like “Well, if I’m not happy with their booking, then they surely must not be happy either”, which is perfectly reasonable, especially when they can be somewhat outspoken like Rusev and Lana... It’s hard to maintain that rage when it turns out the talents are perfectly satisfied as things are.

They're all utilizing power plays more than anything. Moxley and maybe the Revival are the only ones I see going "alright, this doesn't matter anymore."

I'm not sure if she's congratulating herself or WWE but either way it's funny. I took it as her congratulating us

To be fair I don't remember there being any talk of Rusev or Lana hinting "Just you wait guys, when our contracts are up we're out of here"
Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong, but I don't even remember them being vocal against the current storyline.

The argument could be made that they came back to TV specifically for it. They were already taking leave off of TV for a couple of months, so if they really didn’t want to do this angle... then they would have just stayed at home, unless they still had to work some leftover dates on their contracts.

Maybe they're happy, maybe Vince did his mind tricks and f***ed around with them to try and convince them he had real plans to use them and it was going to be great; at this point, who gives a shit? After the Rusev Day thing went the way it did I wouldn't want to bother with them, personally. I think they're constantly going to be stuck on some carrot-and-the-stick shit keeping them perpetually back form anything worth a damn, and that if they're signed on for five more years Rusev won't hold a top title period.

Maybe Lana just wanted to sign the big money deal and Rusev's willing to stick around if she's happy staying there and making that money? They seem secure enough in their relationship that no amount of weird VKM bullshit is going to rock the boat on their relationship.

That's fair, and I'm glad they're bucking the insane statistical probability involved. I just also feel like 'the guy whose hot wife cheats on him' is the role Vince has zeroed onto for Rusev, and when he gets a perception of someone, he doesn't easily shake that. They have to know their ceiling here is to toil through this shit over and over again until the day they leave.

But I'm starting to think he might be happy enough with grilling in his backyard and going to Nashville Predators games that maybe being at the top of the card doesn't matter anymore. And believe me, I respect the idea of him putting his personal life over his professional one.

Yeah if both Rusev and Lana re-sign, then Vince can humiliate the crap out of them and they get no sympathy from me. Moxley wanted out, took the attempted burial like a man, and now is a bigger star somewhere else. If Rusev wants to sign with the WWE, that’s great, just don’t expect the “cheer me because I’m talented and they won’t utilize me” gimmick to work.

Right from her mouth but probably not a multi-million dollar one. In other news:

People keep saying this but they returned to television when wwe also brought back other superstars that hadn't been used in a while. Sasha Banks and Luke Harper sping to mind in regards to this.
