As if four shows in a row in Chicago weren't enough, here's another one! AEW are back in the Windy City just three months after All Out for the Thanksgiving edition of Dynamite, and there's plenty on tap!
Chris Jericho planned to host Le Champion's Celebration where he'll get his Thank Yous from AEW management, and he'll still do so, but last week he also talked himself into defending the AEW World Championship against SCU's Scorpio Sky, following Sky pinning Jericho two weeks ago in a tag team title defence. Sky was prepared to let it lie there, but Jericho's ego couldn't take being upstaged, so he's putting the title on the line when he doesn't have to. Will this be a mistake, or will Sky come up short without his SCU cohorts?
Last week's Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal ended on a sour note, as Jungle Boy thought he had qualified for the final match with Hangman Page, only to get tossed by Maxwell Jacob Friedman who was lying outside the ring, but was not eliminated. So tonight it'll be MJF vs. Page for the Dynamite Dozen Diamond Ring, and no doubt MJF will have Wardlow at ringside with him. Hangman MAY be regretting cutting ties with The Elite at this point...
Kenny Omega is starting to rebound from his troubles over the past few months, and he's identified the source of those problems as his loss to PAC at All Out. Now three months later in the same arena, Omega will once again do battle with The Bastard. Will the outcome be the same, or will Omega avenge one of his key AEW losses?
For the first time since the debut episode of Dynamite, Cody will be in singles action. Following his devastating loss to Chris Jericho where he cannot challenge for the AEW World Championship again, Cody was then betrayed by MJF, and then nearly choked by Wardlow. Since MJF is otherwise occupied tonight, who will the American Nightmare face?
With her big win over Dr. Britt Baker DMD last week (and Baker's subsequent "accidental" Takeover appearance), Hikaru Shida appears to be next in line for Riho and the AEW Women's World Championship. Riho defeated Shida at All Out to set her up for the match she won the title in, but Shida has been on fire since then. Will we get their next meeting set up tonight?
All this and much more tonight from 8/7c on TNT in the US, TSN in Canada and FITE TV worldwide!
