Alright, yeah. This is kind of where I hoped the angle would go, which is to say Cody's previous feuds have revolved around his opponent WANTING to fight him (Spears) or being REQUIRED to fight him (Jericho), and now the focus is going to be on an opponent who is going to be trying to NOT fight Cody while Cody chases a match. This makes the Butcher and Blade attack a good early roadblock, as the boys have reasons to attack Cody outside of distracting him from MJF, but that is what they are doing anyway.

I like this idea that MJF is going to duck Cody for as long as he can. It could also lead to how Cody can get back into the title hunt, eventually.

I agree with basically what everyone has said so far as far as the fantasy booking of their feud, my only input AND I HOPE SOMEONE AT AEW SEES THIS SOMEHOW.
This should be AEW's first Steel Cage match. And hopefully they can actually book it like they used to, and make it a match that both athletes understand the implications of.

Is Cody going to have to channel his dad's feud with Big Bubba Rogers in the form of fighting Wardlow to get a piece of MJF?

I like this idea that MJF is going to duck Cody for as long as he can. It could also lead to how Cody can get back into the title hunt, eventually. See, I dislike that for one reason: Cody's one of his bosses. His other bosses (The Young Bucks and Tony Khan) are friends of Cody. How can he logically avoid a match with Cody?

Rank system, other feuds dustracting Cody, and something he may also use, defending his ring against other opponents as an excuse.

See, I dislike that for one reason: Cody's one of his bosses. His other bosses (The Young Bucks and Tony Khan) are friends of Cody. How can he logically avoid a match with Cody? he could be pre-emptive and accuse cody of abusing his power/is a megalomaniac/ tyrant etc if he tries to use his behind the scenes power to force MJF to fight him, who will in turn send in the lawyers and threaten to sue AEW if cody/the bucks try something like that. so basically cody has to find a way to make MJF want to fight him, so expect mindgames and the like to get into MJF's head.

He still has to sign the contract for the match to happen, no signature, no match. No matter how much everyone wants it to happen, if a wrestler doesn't want a match to happen, the match doesn't happen.

I recently learned (and can relate to) that Cody had Brandi write out this list because his penmanship is apparently terrible.
