I'm looking forward to THIS week's number. If it's that bad again, we have a problem.

That’s not good. Thanksgiving eve, sure but NXT shouldn’t have done that much better despite the key demo win NXT demo also decreased except the 50+ which once again helped NXT win in overall viewership. Goddamn boomers!

Interesting thought on this: are there any DVR +7 numbers out yet for Thanksgiving week shows? There's a bigger push of late to track how well shows do on DVR, with +7 just meaning people recorded and watched the show within a week, I'd be curious if AEW and NXT had good recording numbers among younger viewers who might've been traveling/partying on Thanksgiving eve.

I haven't heard anything for this week but I've heard both AEW and NXT are generally doing much better in +3s and +7s than you would expect.

Yeah, obviously live viewing is better for attracting advertisers, but a one-off bad ratings week can be buoyed by strong DVR numbers, since it'd tell advertisers that the bad rating is likely an outlier. Figure we'll have a lot more to discuss about this once this week's numbers come out tomorrow.

Yes, it was also included. Seems that Thanksgiving affected more AEW than NXT.

Honestly, that's a way more optimistic number. Like, even if they're not able to watch on the day, they're still willing to watch which just shows that the audience is consistent which is only a good thing for both of them.

Yeah, I think the DVR number says last week was basically just due to outside circumstances and there's not really anything to worry about.

I haven't been following along closely, so have we been doing DVR numbers every week and what has those numbers been?

That's the first time I've seen DVR numbers mentioned in any ratings thread here.

I would assume AEW's primary audience was out drinking.
After all, AEW sold over 10k bottles of Bubbleh.

Didn't honestly take it into consideration until now but it is an important part of all this.

I'd like to see what DVR numbers were for past NXT and AEW shows. Advertisers mostly care about the live key demo numbers (as DVR lets you skip commercials, doesn't it?), but including them gives you a better indicator of how much each show is attracting in an core audience.

I’d be pretty surprised if the Live+7 ratings for last Wednesday’s show were out already. Variety usually has those ratings posted 2 weeks after the fact.
