Why didn’t the Troops beat up Corbin and Dolph last night if they love Roman so much?

He supports them more than Randy Orton, that's for sure.

Why didn’t the Troops beat up Corbin and Dolph last night if they love Roman so much? Nobody said the Troops love him back.

odd thing to complain about Nonsensical, hyperbolic commentary isn't an odd thing to complain about. I guess you could it was such a whatever line that I hardly noticed. I have more problem when cole tells me that TLC stands for tables ladders and chairs.

Trump should bow his head and admit that yes, Roman Reigns cares more about the troops than he does.
Roman is a Real American. He'll suffer their suckotashes.
They should do a vignette where the generals tell familes their loved ones perished overseas. But then the camera shows Roman waiting in the back anxiously and the young kid speaks up "But who'll tell Roman?" The general can say "Maybe you should do it. I haven't the heart, kid."

It was just such a transparent line. It’s been a while since I’ve watched a Reigns segment but I thought they had gotten past this kind of desperate “cheer me” material since his return.

I wish they would just cancel this show. It's meaningless fluff for their PR machine to spin.

It’d be such a WWE thing to do to have John Cena come back and feud with Roman Reigns over who supports the troops more So they'll make them both look terrible again? >_>

odd thing to complain about Nonsensical, hyperbolic commentary isn't an odd thing to complain about. Echoing. This is a line that, to me, encapsulates WWE's failure to make actually engaging babyfaces. Instead of Roman having interesting qualities or unique quirks or anything actually endearing - we get a meaningless superlative that adds nothing to him and just makes the viewer cringe while he is out there, which is not a good association. Sometimes small things are the best way to explain big problems.

Sometimes small things are the best way to explain big problems. If nothing else it helps once again push the fact that the WWE have forgotten the SHOW don't TELL rule of visual storytelling. This is not by any means a new problem. but the commentator yelling something out about someone is still not the same as actually having a character.

Nonsensical, hyperbolic commentary isn't an odd thing to complain about. You must have hated Heenan. Heenan was a heel commentator saying over the top shit for comedy purposes and to follow on through a fun routine with his straight man broadcast partner. Cole is the lead voice saying something ridiculous that we're supposed to unironically, genuinely see as a reason to like ROman. It's not comparable at all.

Yeah, Cole saying something like "Jannety jumped through the window like a coward" has different connotations than Bobby Heenan. Cole is the voice of the WWE the lead PBP guy... what he says is supposed to more or less be what happens/happened. Heenan is an unapologetic asshole heel that says obvious fake things to make his favorites look better which gets shot down by the lead PBP.

They both used nonsensical, hyperbolic commentary in kayfabe to build up wrestlers. Of course it's comparable. One is a heel you're not supposed to take seriously, one is the voice of the product who you are expected to listen to and trust.

This is much more akin to Gorilla Monsoon saying that they were "talking Oscar" for Hogan's performance in No Holds Barred.

They should put ‘#1 Troop Supporter’ on his name plate like they do champions.
