Guessing before the day is out we'll also be hearing confirmation of the Colons' release.
WWE really wasted them, they were fantastic in the Fashion Files. Maybe'll turn up in AEW given Cody seemed high on them.

When you saw them in nxt and then the main roster it was night and day - what a complete and utter waste of what could have been a really good act.

I wonder if they asked for it, or if WWE just decided it'd hurt AEW more to have these guys on their show than the other way around.

Those thinking that Cody's gonna sign them, Harper, and Sin Cara Dos, remember that AEW only has three hours of TV in contrast to WWE's 12. The AEW roster can't take too many more signees.
Plus due to being released they'd have to wait three months before it due to not being allowed on TV.

It's a bummer to see someone lose their jobs, but maybe they can do better somewhere else?
I thought NXT did a good job making them look like badasses in 2014. I think they are the best (worst) example of WWE creative turning people promoted from NXT into a joke.

Never cared for them but yeah from Day 1 WWE's entire plan for them on the main roster was to be losers

I think they are the best (worst) example of WWE creative turning people promoted from NXT into a joke. The Ascension are what most think of when they think “Main roster’s going to change everything about them and ruin them”, because of how they got a new look out of nowhere with the face paint and because of how quickly things flamed out for them with their booking in comparison to their NXT run. Pretty much everyone else that’s been called up since has gone up either unchanged or with only minor changes at worst.

The crazy thing about them is that technically The Ascension has been around since 2011 in FCW.

The crazy thing about them is that technically The Ascension has been around since 2011 in FCW. Right, when it was Ricardo Rodriguez managing a stable of vampires or something. And the other members with Konnor were Epico Colon, Bram and Eddie and Vickie Guerrero’s daughter.

They should have never changed anything about them when they came up. Making them crap all over teams like demolition and LOD didn’t help either. Could have been a great heel team.

I've always thought The Ascension could be great in a company that wants tag-team wrestling beyond "You two guys, you're a team now". Hopefully they do end up in AEW at some point.

Isn't that when Ricardo claimed that he was the brains behind Del Rio and he was like the son of a rich talent agent?

These two seem perfect for a lod style gimmick in the nwa.

#THEWWECULLING
Ooh, I feel like there hasn't been a roster purge of any sizable notability since hashtags became a thing.
So long Brodie Lee, Sin, Conor and Vic.

They were great in the Breezango police skits.
