Let's just make this the all purpose thread going forward. We'll keep weekly show discussion in here. I intend to watch this week's as soon as I have the time, I'll comment as I watch.

They dug up CW Anderson.
The "outrageous!" guy doesn't feel like a territory type but more like one of those guys that littered the early 90s indies.
So now Thunder Rosa is just Melina's sycophant sidekick? Meh.
Wildcards throw some of the weakest punches I've ever seen.
I'll admit, the Stevens stuff is fun, albeit a tad overlong.
Man, it's still weird hearing Nikita without the accent.
RnRs being the tag champs is still a dumb idea.

Marty in NWA looks so freakin' great. AND SO DOES KAMILLE. Gotta start watching regularly again next week.

Bunged on the PPV mainly to see Marty turn up, and ended up watching the whole thing. A really good show.

Big thumbs down on going over an hour. I thought the synergy with DARK starting after Powerrr was a huge reason in getting invested in the product to start with, and I'm not picking the NWA over AEW.

You know it doesn't start playing until you go to it, right? You're not going to miss anything, promise.

What has happened to Jocephus? Was he some kind of Bruiser Brody character? From what I saw he looked like a total joke in NWA. Pretty much a comedy jobber like Aron Stevens. I think the person you’re quoting was making a tongue in cheek reference to Jocephus disappearing and nobody realizing he’s the Question Mark. Also, NWA National Champion Aron Stevens? Don't you mean NWA Third Degree National Champion, Aaron "Shooter" Stevens?

Can’t say I’m overly excited about the new heel faction though Magnus going full heel was overdue because his character has been all over the place since Powerrr debuted.
Tim Storm also might be the best face in wrestling. Really likeable fella.

It's not about missing anything, but I do prefer to watch stuff live as it airs if I can, so Season 2 of Powerrr caught me off guard when the final match was beginning at 4PM when Season 1 would wrap up its episodes with minutes to spare. I ended switching to Dark and then going to the Powerrr main event afterward. It was just a surprise I didn't expect.

I gotta agree here, when I was still watching Power regularIy I loved it being at 6:05 and immediately watching Dark both as they aired new back to back. If Power overruns to Dark I absolutely won't watch it "live".

I haven't read spoilers, because I don't want to know about them, although last time I knew the Rock N' Roll Express was winning the belts. But it's possible, Magnus's stable isn't full heel and he stays the same where he is at walking the line. As far as why, a lot of the old NWA champions were not purely heel, but often played heel because they would be facing a fan favorite in the territories they defended the belt while still being a face at their home base territory. It's a lot like Okada now, who is cheered against certain opponents, but definitely not against others.

I dont know what it is about Powerrr but even though its definitely not home to a lot of good wrestling I'm just captivated by it in a way I cant explain. Maybe it's just the younger me who grew up on mid Atlantic and my family just flat out didn't care about the WWF until the hinges were off with WCW.
Hell if I talk to older family members about wrestling they're more likely to bring up Flair, Boogie Woogie Man, or Rufus R Jones than Hogan, Austin, and etc...

I get huge DDP vibes off Zicky Dice. Love that wrestlers I've enjoyed on CWFH programming are getting a larger platform on here.

It's weird - he totally feels like a throwback, but not to the 80s territories. To me, he feels like the guys that were bouncing back and forth between NAWA, Savoldi's IWCCW, Tri-State and the like. A little "trying too hard" but in an obnoxiously-endearing way.

What I find hilarious is that they've brought in these old names like Anderson, Sandow, the RnRs; cult faves like Cabana, and promising young talent like Starks and Rosa...
...and the most over guy they have is Josephus f'n Brody, and they had to make him as literally generic as possible to make it happen.

Heads up: Powerrr is releasing the next episode tomorrow, probably because of the holiday being right in the middle of the week.
