Well. In that case, Taxi Driver's my #1. I can sort of see that. It definitely has alot of the elements of them. Se7en and Cape Fear get some consideration now too. I tend to classify these three movies as part of the Thriller/Suspense genre. Silence's labrynth that Clarice has to enter at the end tips it more toward the horror side.

I hate horror movies, but creepy ones work quite well for me. Some of my favorites:
The Ring (part of the fun is correlating it to the Japanese original) White Noise The Grudge (see the Ring) The Others Signs Se7en
I'm sure someone here is going to look at my list and crap all over it. I don't give a damn. I liked these.
