How does this work for someone like Gary Oldman or Daniel Day-Lewis? - Anthony Hopkins and Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Some might choose Brian Cox or Madds Mikkelsen, but I prefer Anthony's almost supernatural take. Plus dude was burly for a dr. I'm not surprised his version overpowered his victims. He had amazing chemistry with Jodie Foster and I wish she would've been in the other movies, at least they would've had more than just Hopkins going for them. - Paul Rudd and either of his comedic roles. He's such a likeable guy lol. I want to see him as the lead in a physcological thriller. Either where he plays the 'good guy' role completely straight or is teavealed to be a 'villain' later on. He could pull it off easily due to the the effortless ikeability he possesses, imo.

MacGyver has pretty much become Jack O'Neill: the early years. Eric Braeden as Victor Newman Same would go for Joseph Mascolo as Stefano DiMera.

How does this work for someone like Gary Oldman or Daniel Day-Lewis? I know when I saw Oldman in the Robocop reboot I thought, "Oh, Jim Gordon's a doctor now."

Paul Rudd, to me, will always be Josh from Clueless. I could watch Anchorman (He was hilarious as Brian Fantana, by the way) or Ant-Man, but no matter what I see him in, he'll always be Josh.

The Rock is the Rock. Not whatever role he’s playing. That’s The Rock playing pretend. That's what I came to say, although at this point I think that's what sells. They never have him wear different hair or cover his tattoos anymore. They just give you The Rock.

Tom Holland will always be Spider-Man to me.
(It’s really not helped by how he’s in that new animated movie with Will Smith where he voices a kid who’s basically just Peter Parker without the webs.)

Police Academy actors (plenty of choices there , sure GW Bailey does a crime show now but i suspect he was heavily typecast due to these films)

Whenever I see Giamatti all I can think is him screaming “You are the motherf***ing anti Christ!!” That God damn Motherf***er! I love his tirade at the end credits. Starts off trying to be diplomatic about it, starts getting a bit annoyed and then goes into full on swear mode: “HOWARD STERN CAN KISS MY ASS IN HELL!”

Rory McGann is the main villain in the new Jumanji movie and all I could see and hear was the Hound. I think it was the longest he's ever gone without calling someone a c***. I still see him as Michael from Hot Fuzz. Yarp
