Now that it's all done who do you think of the new crop of actors anchoring the latest Star Wars trilogy will find success outside of Star Wars?
The past hasn't been to kind. Of the original trilogy Harrison Ford was the only one to reach superstardom afterwards. I know Mark Hamill was a successful voice actor but that doesn't go too far. And Carrie Fisher? She was in the first Austin Powers.
And from the prequel trilogy? Natalie Portman did really well for herself. Hayden Christensen...not so much. Ewan McGregor? He still does movies but when was the last time he got top billing? And we can't forget dear Jake Lloyd.
Of the new batch I'm going to go with Adam Driver.

Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac already have had great success outside of Star Wars and probably will as long as they choose to keep acting. Driver has an Oscar nom already. Oscar Isaac is fantastic and will pick one up at some point I'm sure. I suspect Driver is going to mostly stick to smaller films, but Isaac seems willing to pop up in every major film franchise he can (Star Wars, X-Men, Dune) alongside his smaller films.
I haven't seen much of Ridley and Boyega outside of Star Wars. I did see Ridley in Murder on the Orient Express, and she was fine. I think she'll fizzle out like Kiera Knightly did after Pirates, still be around but nothing as big as Star Wars (though what is)

Oscar Isaac has a Golden Globe for the outstanding HBO mini-series Show Me A Hero

Adam Driver already has an Oscar Nom, should be getting another one in a higher category.

They all seemed to be at least critical darlings before taking parts in Star Wars (especially Oscar Isaac). Driver's stock has certainly grown since then, so he'll likely be considered the most successful. Ridley will likely have the hardest time of the four, but that's due to the limited shelf life an ingenue has in Hollywood.

Driver was an emerging name before TFA/TLJ/TRoS and continues to rise at a steady pace. SW didn't make him in any regard, but it's certainly made the spotlight brighter than it would have been.
Isaac's seemed like a "lighter" version of Driver. Not quite as active since TFA, IIRC, but he had a pretty solid resume before it and has kept active since and will probably be getting that same kind of work in the future.
Ridley and Boyega seem like the modern age Fisher & Hamill - recognizable from "THOSE ROLES" and probably getting work at a good pace though not at the heights we'd assume given the STAR WARS stepping stone.

I think Boyega will break out once everybody sees his song and dance routine from the future new Holiday Special.

I think the real question is if Boyega and Ridley will be able to find success outside and post-Star Wars.

Adam Driver is the obvious breakout. It feels weird putting Oscar Isaacs on this list though, because he was already on the way up before these movies.

Doctor Sleep. Fargo T2 Trainspotting Christopher Robin Man, Christopher Robin was such a disappointment. I had high hopes for that one. I thought it was cute enough, I really don't know how much more you can squeeze out of that concept. I remember thinking it had a lot of similar beats to the similarly disappointing Mary Poppins Returns, and Hook.

Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac are already there. Adam Driver's got an Oscar nomination for BlacKkKlansman and he's already getting Oscar buzz for Marriage Story and The Report. Plus he's shown his range on SNL with being one of the better, newer guest hosts recently, stealing the stage in great skits like Undercover Boss: Starkiller Base and Career Day. And Isaac's won a Golden Globe for Show Me A Hero and already been in some high profile projects like X-Men Apocalypse and Into the Spider-Verse.
I also think John Boyaga's shine will get brighter. He's a wonderful actor and Star Wars helped a lot in raising his profile. Not really sure what to make of Daisy Ridley, though. I think she's in the most danger of being typecast because she was a relative unknown before Star Wars.

I remember thinking it had a lot of similar beats to the similarly disappointing Mary Poppins Returns, and Hook. I think the problem for me was that it was too long. It kinda loses the magic after a bit. After seeing his old friends again, that should've been an eye opener. But it really wasn't.

I voted for Isaac, simply because I don't think he needs Star Wars to be successful. He's been in a lot of stuff anyway. Ridley I dunno so much about. I think her best bet is to end up like Emma Watson or someone. Not as big as she was in Harry Potter, but still works and occasionally will get thrown a Disney flick like Beauty and the Beast. Boyega is the Rupert Grint of this franchise. After seeing him as Finn in 3 movies who is going to say "Why yes, I need to see more of that guy!?"

Adam Driver was already nominated for an Oscar for his performance in a non-Star Wars film so he already has success
Oscar Isaac won a Golden Globe, and in non-Star Wars movies I thought he was great in Ex Machina and Inside Llewyn Davis
I think the potential is there for Daisy Ridely and John Boyega to have success as well --- but I haven't seen in them in anything but Star Wars

John Boyega has been in Attack the Block, Detroit, Pacific Rim 2, and 24.
