Yeah, this was a no brainer. He had the best year of anybody, NXT or main roster, IMO.

So many group hugs. All of them so well deserved. Love these guys so much.

I have said it before that while NXT has had great rosters but this one right now is the most special because you look at who won tonight but then look at everyone both men and womnen that did not and it is insane.

I liked the show. Hopefully it's a yearly tradition. It's shows off the best of NXT and talent gets time off.

For what its worth, it seems very likely the voting was nearly 100% rigged this year. As per WWE.com:

For what its worth, it seems very likely the voting was nearly 100% rigged this year. As per WWE.com: Well, it's not like there were any real glaring examples of "This person shouldn't have won instead of that person". Maybe the one that Dakota Kai won, I guess.

I thought Dakota winning was weird, but even then, I don't have a hard time believing a lot of fans voted for her.

Normally I would agree, but Shayna winning best women's competitor was pretty hard to believe considering everyone wanted her to drop the title all year, and did not like her matches at all, since they were incredibly formulaic, along with her feuds. Both Io and Rhea had much bigger impacts on the division. That's when I started questioning the integrity of the results.

But I definetly believe that the fan vote was very minimal like maybe 2 percent. But also you can tell by both the catergories and the nominees who they pushing the voting towards so there was next to no room for any real surprise winners.

I hope Kushida’s partner is Cameron Grimes and his hat for some reason and we get a whacky oddball tag team.

The three top suggestions seem to be Grimes (because wacky “rivals as a team” shenanigans), Tyler Breeze (to play off their loose affiliation from last year) or Alex Shelley (shock value/established team).

Pretty much everyone that won tonight are being pushed and/or will receive major pushes in the future. Nothing like a Arturo Roas winning Future Star and then basically disappearing and doing nothing for 2 years or so.

Usually it would be a bit bothersome they didn't take any oppurtunity tonight to announce anythint for their return next week (unless I am forgetting) but thinking about it , it is actually not so bad leaves alot of room for surprises.

I'm guessing that the Dusty Classic starts next week with the finals culminating at the Worlds Collide event the night before the Royal Rumble PPV.
