JR asking for the show to cut to commercial and then Britt actually being cut off mid-promo (with no PIP) was hilarious.

The promo was just bad.
They are wasting too much time with Britt. You could use that time to build ANY other women instead

They are wasting too much time with Britt. You could use that time to build ANY other women instead I thought it was OK but I think the main issue with the women AEW are having is that they have other commitments so you'll see them one week and won't see them for a few weeks while they wrestle elsewhere. I wanna see the likes of Jamie Hayter and Bea Priestley more.

Britt should go full on Evil Dentist from the Little Shop Of Horrors, at this point.

I enjoyed her promo from last night. It felt like I was watching a real-life bad customer at Starbucks dressing down one of their employees for getting her order wrong. Those people never yell or overreact, they just casually and cruelly dismiss the barista's existence. I see this all the time in NYC and can relate. I'm not sure if that's the exact angle she was going for but it worked.

On a serious note, though; I know that people have a mixed opinion on Britt Baker; I think she's the definition of the phrase "Meh" in terms of her ring work and promo style, but I can't help but respect the fact that she's a legitimate dentist and a pro wrestler, one of those jobs is hard enough and yet Britt has somehow found the time to do both. I can't help but respect that.

Im all for turning her heel, I feel she has potential in being the top heel of the division, that was a solid promo she cut on Riho. Stilted The bitch meangirl routine is overdone And she is still trash in ring

I can't help but respect that. That's sort of how I feel about her too. She's obviously in the pro wrestling business for no reason other than she loves it, because she damn sure doesn't need the job, and that's endearing. I just think she got thrust into a nationally prominent role far too quickly for her experience level because her association with Adam Cole caused her in-ring talent to be overvalued by association, and she's, objectively, really attractive and a good choice aesthetically to be the "face" of a new company. It made sense in theory, but a combination of nerves and inexperience made it kind of flop. That said, I actually think she still has huge potential. She's a good athlete, and a lot of the issues she has is that she's a wooden promo and moves too slowly in-ring. That stuff can be fixed with practice. I am in no way saying she's ever going to come close to this level, but remember when Trish Stratus first came into WWE as an exceptionally attractive, athletic, valet with no prior in-ring experience, her performances when she first stepped into the ring were pretty rough to watch. But she was motivated, she worked hard, and she developed into one of the more transcendent in-ring women's talents there's ever been (in the United States). I think Britt may well be the same, because she's clearly in wrestling for the right reasons and wants to be good. Working heel for a bit, so that she doesn't HAVE to be likable, and can work some more weaselly tactics into her matches will really help that development. As will getting to work with the likes of Shida, Shanna, Riho, etc...frequently.

I'm hoping that once AEW gets big enough they will look into starting a developmental system. Certain people like Darby, Sammy G, and Shanna etc.. have that 'it' factor and naturally excelled under the pressure. Other wrestlers like Britt need some polishing to reach that next level. And that isn't an insult, people just operate and function differently. If she had the resources that the WWE PC can provide we would probably see a different Britt Baker on NXT television. And props to her for not taking the easy road, because she can join NXT at any time due to her connections. Instead, she took a risk with an upstart promotion where she made her first public AEW appearance at a modestly packed press conference at the Jacksonville Jaguar's parking lot.

I rewatched Britts promo on Tony, and while she got great heat from the crowd, she needs to calm down because she sounded very rushed and not that confident(props for Tony and JR for selling the promo well)

I think she was fine. At least they're addressing her issues, and sometimes a heel turn can help someone who has issues as a face. Her work is kind of bad, she is constantly missing spots. But now she can just kick, punch, fall, and be a mean dentist. Obviously they want her to be a major part of everything, so they're tweaking and working on her instead of just giving up on her.

It’s fine for now, as I’m assuming they’re easing her into a heel role. But eventually more conviction in her promos would be nice cause I really don’t f*** with that casual Babyface-Baley-promo-delivery.

Yeah She already got a far more better crowd reaction than the Nightmare Collective, so thats a good start so far.

Hmm could sworn she was heel in all the PPV shows before they made it to TV Nah,she debuted as part of the "big 3 faces" of the woman division(which were all busts, Allie, Britt Baker and Kylie Rae) that seemed Brandi was going go to antagonize. Then she feuded with the heel Bea Prisley. Just that she simply sucks at showing any character trait so I don't blame you. But what about |o o| | /\ | >_>

Britt Baker's promo was clearly a lemon on AEW Dynamite, as well as her character/style getting over with the crowd. Could be lack of sleep the night before, could be trying to do TWO things at the highest level simultaneously. Juggling two things can really be very difficult, given how demanding & tough it is to be a Doctor, and how that obviously has to take a larger priority. If LeBron James played Baseball and Basketball, he would not be who he is today. She is thrust into a position where she really needs more time. It would be a like a college graduate taking on a senior team lead role, when that graduate has a second job too.

That match was rough to watch. I feel like there has to be better women wrestlers they can use all this screen time for.

Even if thaT is the case, and I still believe by now even juggling tasks she should been able to cut a decent a promo. Even then..doesn't really matter. You are hired for a big startup company, on a big TV Show.Trying to "Change Wrestling". If you can't bring it and focus on it,you don't do it until you are ready. Not saying stop wrestling, just not on such a big stage and as one of the biggest focus of the division.
