When people mention great pay-per-views the standard answers always come up, WrestleMania 3, 17, SummerSlam 2000, etc. I'm curious to know what are some of people's favorite non WWE pay-per-views. I would like to consider EVERY company. WCW, ECW, TNA, NJPW, ROH or any other company I may have forgot. Let's try to keep this spoiler-free for those that haven't seen it yet and would like to check it out based on your recommendation. What shows did you enjoy and why?

Great American Bash 1989 and SuperBrawl II are my favorite WCW shows. Lots of great action from start to finish.

When Worlds Collide is a fantastic show with an all time classic match on it.

I'll always have a soft spot for WCW Uncensored 1999 as it was the first wrestling VHS I ever owned.

I stand by Starrcade '90 and Great American Bash' 92 both being great shows. I'm a sucker for tournaments, but still..

Superbrawl II: Liger vs. Pillman (probably their best match), Rude vs. Steamboat (they had so many great matches during this era), Sting vs. Luger and bunch of interesting guys in other matches. Starrcade '92: Sting vs. Vader, interesting pairings (lots of great wrestlers from this era) in Battle Bowl and stuff like Pillman wrestling twice in one night. Simmons vs. Williams. I should rewatch this, it's so interesting! e: Also, the match combinations of WCW/New Japan Supershow I even though they're not probably the greatest ever matches. I don't remember anymore if they ever released the dark matches on that show. Muta vs. Sting, though. \m/

Spring Stampede 1999
Also, I think any WCW ppv from Great American Bash 96 through Starrcade 96 is great.

wk14(night two),WK11 might be legit contenders. WrestleKingdom 8 and 9 are both incredible front to back. Technically, Wrestle Kingdoms aren't pay-per-views. They're amazing cards, no question, but if we're getting specific and rating them on this particular metric, the pay-per-view model doesn't exist in Japan and the matches are show on their respective television channels the night of and on the continuing weeks. If we're including Wrestle Kingdom, one would have to include Clash of the Champions, Saturday Night's Main Event, early Starrcades and a number of other non-pay-per-view major cards in pay-per-view discussions.
