I'm guessing the Korakuen Hall shows will be aired on NJPW World and not much from the early part of the tour. Should be some fun shows, I usually enjoy for what they are.
As far as New Beginning, looks like Okada/Taichi, Shingo vs Goto, possibly Suzuki/Moxley and Ibushi/Tanahashi vs FinJuice should be on the cards.

As far as New Beginning, looks like Okada/Taichi, Shingo vs Goto, possibly Suzuki/Moxley and Ibushi/Tanahashi vs FinJuice should be on the cards. This is a fun tangent you led me down. With KENTA being the next feud for Naito, it's looking like Okada won't have any title opportunities before New Japan Cup and Taichi has been a thorn in Naito's side in recent tournaments, so could we be setting up a Taichi upset against against Okada in a tournament infamous for upsets?
The following is a list of Okada's performances in the New Japan Cup:
* 2013: Won the tournament, defeating Hiroki Goto in the finals * 2015: Eliminated in the first round to Bad Luck Fale
* 2019: Won the tournament, defeating Sanada in the finals
Now let's look the G1 losses:
* 2012: Goto, Naito and Nakamura * 2013: Devitt, Goto, Kojima and Nakamura * 2014: Anderson and Naito * 2015: Goto and Nakamura
* 2016: Fale, Ishii, Marufuji and a draw with Tanahashi
* 2017: Evil, Omega and a draw with Suzuki
* 2018: Fale, White and a draw with Tanahashi
* 2019: Ibushi and Sanada
I think he's due for a hard crash landing this year.
This leads me to my hot take prediction for 2020: Okada is going to have a disappointing year in the tournaments, being eliminated from NJC early and being eliminated from the G1 before the finals.

Curious to see how they split the roster for the US/Japan tours. Last year they unfortunately had the visa issues, which seems like a lifetime ago.
NB USA tour runs 1/24-2/1 NB JPN tour A runs 1/25-1/29 NB in Sapporo is 2/1 & 2/2 NB JPN tour B runs 2/4-2/6 (all Korakuen Hall shows) NB in Osaka is 2/9
So whoever is working the US tour leg is obviously not working the initial Japan tour nor the Sapporo shows. They could get on a plane and work the Korakuen/Osaka shows though.
Mox/Suzuki, despite being for the US belt, likely can't take place in the US due to AEW. You could close out the tour on FinJuice vs. Golden Aces, which guarantees American fans both Tana and Ibushi for the whole trip.

Maybe let LIJ get a trios defense in as well? That's about all I could see for additional title matches, since the Heavyweight/IC titles are now in one program. Assuming that Despy/Nobu get their shot at RPG3K in Sapporo, and probably the NEVER defense as well. Edit: I'm Assuming that Archer, TJP, Red and Nicholls will be working the US tour, along with some special guests and the LA Dojo's Young Lions. They're developing a nice body of talent they can tap into in over here.

I can't see Gedo going that far down with Okada, at least not having him fail in both the New Japan Cup and the G1. He went from Dominion to New Japan Cup for his redemption after his record setting title run. I just don't think Okada falls any further than that, and if he fails in the G1, his redemption would be a full year. Although I could Taichi upsetting him and falling short in the New Japan Cup.

I felt very disinterested in most of NJPW 2019 but the three shows to start the year were strong. Some of what they've set up sounds interesting and I'm back in with high hopes.
Speaking of hope, I really want them to stick to this and do something different with Okada. He has been in the title picture or the focal point since 2012. Let him go off and either actually struggle or have him challenge for other titles. He did everything with the Heavyweight Title so maybe try to set records for the IC Title or bring prominence to the US. Hell, start a tag with Ishii and inject life into that awful division.

That is some card at Osaka-Jo Hall.
The ones in Sapporo are good don't get me wrong, but that 02/09 card is amazing.

Looks like some good cards, especially Osaka. The Moxley/Okada vs Taichi/Suzuki has me intrigued, as most of the title matches I expected.
I was thinking about going to Nashville(6 hour drive), although the US touring map looks like they will closer to me in the midwest at some point. Nagata vs Archer and Cobb vs Kojima have me intrigued, plus seeing Tanahashi in a singles match and Ibushi live.
