I like the look of pretty much all of those cards, a lot of variety. But yeah, Osaka looks stacked as hell. And it'll be super interesting to see Okada teaming with Mox.

So will any of the US shows be airing on New Japan World? Guessing they'll all be released a week or two later. I feel like the Sapporo tour could use an ELP Cruiserweight defense, but looks solid overall. Osaka is stacked.

As an aside, LA Dojo now has their own subcategory on the roster page. It includes Fredericks, Connors, Coughlin, Kidd & Narita. Add a couple more like Goto and Lee, and you have the makings of something special.

I wish KENTA, Naito, and Okada would be on those tour cards.

I don't know, it always seems weird to me that the CMLL cross-promotion tour happens just after the most important shows of the year, giving everything time to cool off.

The point is to give everyone a rest while still having very well drawing shows. Guys get the holy hell kicked out of them in the build to WK, the whole idea of "strong style, safe style" is built around taking hard hits and then giving time to heal up.

It's not that I don't understand THAT part of it. I just am not sure how they keep the heat from starting to dissipate during it. Though you've got your banged-up-to-hell Champion working it because of his ties to CMLL, regardless...

Naito will only be in for about a minute per night, at best he'll hit a dropkick or two and spend the rest of the match on the apron.

They want to expand into the US, but they basically tell us that almost every US show is unimportant. Each year, there's only like one show in the US that winds up feeling like a big deal.

Each year, there's only like one show in the US that winds up feeling like a big deal. I can agree with that. It would be nice if there was at least one marquee show on each tour, to be broadcast live. That was the case with the Fighting Spirit Unleashed tour and the Showdown tour as well, so maybe that will be the new normal.

That would be okay as the new normal, but in addition they need to have US title matches or something main eventing to make the shows feel more special. I get that they can't do that right now with Moxley, but then that's their own fault for putting the US title on someone who isn't allowed to be on US shows.

Something that I'm really interested in with this tour is seeing how well night 2 in Sapporo draws. Okada vs. Taichi is the main event, with no title on the line and with not much support on the rest of the card. I think this card really speaks to how much faith New Japan have in Okada as a draw right now; even though Taichi is starting to gain a lot of popularity, he's hardly a top main event talent yet. If this night draws a decent house, I think it is yet another feather in the cap of Okada as a huge draw for the company.

Wow. The whole tour looks good on both continents, but Osaka is like Dominion come early. Which makes sense, since it's in the same building as Dominion this year.
