Figured this would go in (w)rest, but if not, my apologies.
Just curious, at this point, approx 3 months in to the Wedneday Night Wars, which brand are you most enjoying overall?

I think this would either go on WWE or AEW.More likely WWE since it has more users.

AEW had my full attention at first but now NXT has won me over. Imo NXT usually gets better week to week while AEW sometimes is in neutral for weeks at a time.

I think the thread is fine here as "neutral" territory, really.
AEW. NXT has improved a LOT, when the TV product used to be kind of meh, since Takeover was the big focus, but obviously, they had to really step it up due to AEW and being on cable instead of just on WWE Network.
Still, I have to vote AEW due to being more invested in their roster, and because it's more interesting to me to see something totally new take shape.

I feel for me to vote is unfair since I haven't watched NXT since the Wednesday Night move and watched pretty much everything AEW's ever done so I will say that stuff I've seen from NXT seems like stuff the main roster should be doing (albeit it'd have a bit more sizzle because, well, it's Raw and Smackdown) and their roster is stacked to the brim which is both a positive and negative thing.
AEW has its faults but it's nice to have something to watch and even the not so great weeks I feel I got something out of it. My only difficulty is having to remove the WWE logic and philosophy from my brain at times when it doesn't feel fair to paint a new promotion that way.

AEW. I know more of the talent (not personally lol), and it feels more like what I watched as a kid...in a good way.

I'm more invested in AEW, though NXT is a very good show too. Both are light years ahead of Raw and Smackdown, though.

I've only been watching AEW, So it's that by default. However I've not been enjoying the product lately.
I might give NXT a chance this week but I may just be done with weekly TV wrestling all together.

I'm invested in both. I watch AEW live because I have the Network and will the current show within a day or two. I enjoy both, but I still would take NXT over AEW if someone forced me to choose.

It's a tough call for me. AEW and NXT are far and away my top two favourite promotions right now, I enjoy them both so much. If I had to pick one though, I would give AEW the nod. I'm liking it just that little bit more. It's close though.

I haven't watched anything NXT-related in at least a year, so I have to pick AEW by default. I just can't get even a little excited over anything associated with WWE.

AEW. It's been a great fit for my tastes, a perfect balance of silly and serious, and the angles and characters have been presented in a way that reminds me of the wrestling I loved as a kid.
Prior to Dynamite coming along, I had regressed to only following WWE through watching random clips, and I've largely stopped doing that. I only know what's happening in NXT through videos by Brian Zane and Cultaholic.

I love both and hate that it's become an "us vs. them" mentality to some people, but I understand that's how business works sometimes. I view it like this:
AEW is the more important show, but NXT is the better show.
Between AEW, NXT, and NWA (with a dash of Impact and NJPW) I rarely ever watch much Raw or Smackdown. Generally I skim through it and only watch the segments/matches that interest me, if not just skip it altogether and read a review online.

AEW is starting to find its footing and seeking a balance between what its talent wants to convey and what its fans want to see, as well as throwing everything against a wall and seeing what sticks. This attitude, and their transparency in the process, is extraordinarily refreshing to see from a wrestling promotion - and it's that sense of adventure that's getting more and more people to tune in, particularly those in the 18-49 demo.
NXT feels safer from an in-ring perspective, but has a number of issues with its booking strategy now that it's no longer (presumably) a launchpad to WWE. Since the new brand split and the promotion it's been getting as WWE's "third brand" or its "main roster", it hasn't really changed all that much - certainly not enough to bring it in line with Raw and Smackdown in the minds of many fans. It's also not as widely available for the overseas audience as the other two. If WWE isn't committing fully to presenting NXT as a main-roster brand and show, the gulf in ratings, particularly among that 18-49 demographic, is only going to grow.
Then again, WWE promising and not delivering has been its calling card for years.

AEW has me invested in weekly wrestling again. Basically this. I grew up being an indy smark. Kaiju Big Battel, and Chikara were my real intro to the business alongside 2009 TNA Wrestling. And I would watch guys like Chuck Taylor and the Young Bucks, and Orange Cassidy (Although I knew him by a different name) and I would constantly say to my brother "Why aren't these guys on TV? They'd probably be just as marketable!" But of course since I was in that annoying contrarian teenager phase, my rambling was largely ignored. Not only that, but my brother and I would both tend to agree on the fact that WWE didn't use their talents to the fullest looking at who got pushed and who didn't, and wondering why some guys were underutilized. Now some of those guys: Cody, Trent, and Shawn Spears are all actually being used in fairly prominent roles. I guess that the difference between the two for me is that NXT (although far and away than anything else WWE has done in the last 10 years) feels too sanitized. You don't get to feel the same kind of character and personality from NXT programming as you do from Dynamite if that makes sense.
