I've been thinking about this.
The two matches that have been rumored for him at Wrestlemania are Cain Velazquez and Tyson Fury, and considering that one of them is conditional on something happening that they obviously have no control over, I think that it's (unfortunately) the pretty obvious solution to setting up Brock's next match.
He wins the Rumble and so gets to choose he wants his next opponent to be. They could then just hold off on his announcement for a few weeks so that they could have wait to see the result of the Tyson Fury Vs. Deontay Wilder fight. If he wins they could then have Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman come out at Elimination Chamber and announce their desire to fight Tyson Fury at Wrestlemania.
If he loses, they could have Cain Velazquez come out and attack Lesnar pissing him off into giving him a rubber match.
So if that really is the plan, then it looks like a Lesnar rumble victory is the easiest way to get there.
Plus isn't it just like WWE to use the Rumble to build to a match we give literally no f***s about?

It'll involve a lot corner sitting and possibly a stretcher job, but it can be done.
He's going the distance.

That would require Brock Lesnar being in the ring for over 60 minutes. Not a chance in hell of that happening. I think he lasts no longer than 20 minutes.

True, but I don't see them trying that or the Roman Reigns thing from 2016 with Brock. I could be wrong, but I think the big spot will be Lesnar being eliminated fairly early to show that anyone can go at any time.

Damn. What is it then? 1999 was the one where Stone Cold chased Vince out of the ring early on, he stayed outside the whole time and came back out to win at the very end.

I'll say Brock almost wins the Rumble until a Cain or Tyson Fury *shivers* eliminates him to set up the big match for WrestleMania.

I could see him doing the Duggan/Piper/Brown special brawl to the back with someone and then coming back later.
Still Brock winning is a complete waste when somebody like Owens for example could do with it more.

Given I have no idea, I say we'll get a rousing repeat of "MAVEN FROM TOUGH ENOUGH JUST ELIMINATED THE UNDERTAKER BY GAWD!" and whichever jobber does it will have the Freedom of the City of FAN Forums from then on...

Ugh. Don’t put that evil on me.
I am sick of these MMA/Boxing guys ruining my wrestling.
If you’re an MMA fighter and you want to wrestle, fine. But actually ACT like a wrestler. Don’t be carrying yourself like “Well I’m a REAL fighter unlike these FAKE pussies!”
That Velasquez/Brock match was embarrassing. They were basically having a fake MMA fight... do moves! It’s not that hard.

Even wearing a mask as a sign of respect. But WWE signed Cain Velasquez and reverted him to UFC Cain rather than 2019 LuchaCain(TM).

I was expecting at least couple powerbombs, but na'ahw... he just dived to black hole.
