NXT has a real problem with faces man. It really is a cool heel heavy promotion. NXT makes me appreciate Jay White in NJPW even more. Not a cool heel. Just a piece of crap (in kayfabe!) that's easy to hate.

MORE Ciampa vs Gargano? Miss me with that shit. Now to be fair about the whole thing, the final blowoff match to the year-long feud didn't get to happen due to Ciampa's neck injury. If they're only doing this to finish that, then I'll allow it personally. I bet this is brought up for sure.

Ugh..... so now it will be Cole/Gargano/Ciampa at Tampa? Ehhhh...... four way with Balor I'd imagine. Yeah.... I forgot Balor won. You’re right.

That's HHH problem in general He leans way too heavy into heel champs Very true, and that goes all the way back to like...man I was gonna say 2002 Raw but it might be longer with his Attitude Era run. IDK if that counts since I'm not sure he had as much booking power then.

There is such a thing as TOO many kickouts.
Plus Ciampa essentially no selling the effects of that Sunrise on the floor really bothered me.
Its hard to believe he would be beat by getting with the belt when he survived THAT.

So, uh... Dream to be the one to beat Cole? Who does this even leave otherwise if Ciampa and Gargano are gonna go do their thing? I don’t see why not. Velveteen Dream is awesome.

Its hard to believe he would be beat by getting with the belt when he survived THAT. This is a fair point. The belt shot looked weak compared to everything else, and not in a "this finally finishes him off" kind of way either.

Despite Ciampa cheating ways and Gargano being a bastard, Adam Cole wins clean as a sheet! What?! Which match did you watch? My monitor kept going out.

I just had a thought...... what if they figured out a way to have Gargano challenge Cole at Takeover and have Ciampa face Finn. Gargano beats Cole and Ciampa beats Finn.... Ciampa/Gargano for the NXT title at Mania.... or blow off Ciampa/Gargano at Takeover, have Cole beat Finn and then have Ciampa beat Cole at Mania

Johnny probably needed to turn heel, but at the same time, what, am I supposed to feel sorry for Ciampa? He has this coming.

Another amazing Takeover. Keith Lee VS Dominik Dijakovic was off the charts, one of the best Takeover openers in History. The Street Fight between Tegan Nox & Dakota Kai was OK. They worked hard, but I had no idea who Raquel Gonzalez is, so there was no need for interference. Johnny Gargano VS Finn Balor was incredible. Rhea Ripley VS Bianca Belair was very good and I like they saved the interference for after the match. The Broserweights VS The Undisputed ERA was a fun match. Tomasso Ciampa VS Adam Cole was an amazing match, but lost momentum with too many near falls, interference, & the ref bump. Here’s the Complete History of Takeover, now updated with tonight’s results:Here are the Facts & Stats for NXT Takeover: Portland: - NXT Takeover: Portland was the 1st Takeover since Takeover: War Games I on November 18, 2017 that Shayna Baszler did not compete, ending a streak of 10 straight Takeovers, tying her with Asuka for most consecutive Takeovers in a row for all-time, the 1st Takeover in History where no one made their Takeover debut, the 1st Takeover since Takeover: Toronto on August 10, 2019 to have 2 Women’s Matches, & the 2nd Takeover in a row to have 6 matches - Keith Lee VS Dominik Dijakovic was the 2nd North American Championship Match of 2020 & the 1st since NXT on January 20, 2020 & the 7th North American Title Match in Takeover History & the 1st since Takeover: Toronto on August 10, 2019, the 1st time since Takeover: Phoenix that The Velveteen Dream was not in a North American Title Match, Keith Lee’s 2nd Takeover in a row & 1st Singles Match & Title Match at a Takeover, he is the 1st North American Champion since The Velveteen Dream at Takeover: New York on April 5, 2019 to defend the North American Title at a Takeover after winning it at an event other than a Takeover, Dominik Dijakovic’s 2nd Takeover in a row & 1st Singles Match & Title Match at a Takeover, Keith Lee & Dominik Dijakovic join Charlotte Flair & Bayley, Baron Corbin & Rhyno, Finn Balor & Samoa Joe, Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong, Ricochet & War Raiders, Shayna Baszler & Io Shirai, & Tegan Nox & Dakota Kai this event, as the only wrestlers to be both opponents & partners at a Takeover, as they were partners at Takeover: War Games III on November 23, 2019, the 1st Singles Match to open Takeover since Riddle VS Strong at Takeover 25 on June 1, 2019 or the 1st North American Title to open a Takeover since the 6-Way Ladder Match at Takeover: New Orleans on April 7, 2018, Lee & Dijakovic’s 1st ever Takeover opener, & they were the 1st since Aleister Black at Takeover: Phoenix on January 26, 2019 & Takeover: New York on April 5, 2019 to go from the Takeover main event to the following Takeover opener, the 5th 1-on-1 Match between Lee & Dijakovic, with their 1st match taking place on NXT on February 27, 2019, which ended in a Double Count Out, & their last match prior to Takeover taking place on NXT on October 16, 2019, which ended in a No Contest, so now in their 5 previous matches, Lee won twice, Dijakovic won once, & 2 matches ended in a No Contest, & Lee was the 2nd North American Champion in a row & only 2nd in History after The Velveteen Dream to have a successful 1st Title Defense at a Takeover - Yeah, the asshole got attacked by his "friend" who he had spent like a year and ahalf before purposely tormenting... Makes absolutely no sense lol. Of course Johnny is gonna do the whole "YOU people" promo next. Because he can't possibly be a good man who just happens to hate the guy that essentially tormented him for about a year. Either way, I am over this feud. They both need to be separated from each other. It's as tiring as Owens vs Zayn at this point.
