If you'd asked me six months ago I wouldn't have an answer for you, but then I saw Joey Janela get monkey flipped while sat in a chair, and land still sat in the chair. It immediately became my single favourite spot ever. For me, it's this one: What an absolute badass moment for a much-deserved Henry, IMO. Man alive, Orton made him look like a f***ing killer.

This is a very different vibe from the rest of these, but for me, perfect professional wrestling is William Regal unable to bring himself to apply the Regal Stretch to naked Mideon, so he invents the Regal Cutter on the spot and uses that instead.

A proper execution of what cosplay ripoff wrestler Zack Sabre, Jr. calls the "European Clutch," which develops as an actual organic wrestling and counterwrestling spot instead of a contrived sequence that's as phony and business-exposing as the worst Young Bucks spots are perceived to be. (22:51 if the video doesn't jump there.)

That spot where Taichi is hiding behind a newspaper to sneak up on his opponents entrance.
I know someone here has the gif.

don't even consider myself a fan of either guy That spot is a perfect combination of a completely over finisher being put on well and two wrestlers combining to do what seems like it should be physically impossible. The moment is only dragged down by not being in a dome, so the reaction would be louder. The spot itself is flawless. Other mentioned that were epic: Cole/Ricochet superkick: the timing is insane. I was afraid of them going to slow-mo because I thought it would take away a little bit. But nope, Cole couldn't have gotten him more flush. Page/DDP: the perfect counter. Nobody expected it, and it ended with a smooth transition to the most over finisher in the company. Money Inc/Steiners: thought outside the box for an amazing finish.

Not a particularly impressive one visually, but Maven eliminating Undertaker at the 2002 Royal Rumble always comes to mind.
On the IWC Undertaker had a toxic rep at the time (hard to believe now). So Undertaker getting eliminated by the rookie Maven was one of the very rare moments in the 2000s that legit surprised me (in a good way).
The only other one that comes to mind as a legit good shocking moment in the 2000s was Cena returning way ahead of schedule from injury. I believe at the 2008 Rumble.

Naomichi Marufuji countering the springboard Doomsday Device into the Shiranui Kai to retain the GHC Tag Team Championship in 2008. One of the most truly beautifully fluid counter spots I've ever seen in wrestling. Spot is here.

Unfortunately I can’t narrow it down to one. But some that always stand out for me were:
- During Okada vs. Ishii at G1 26, Okada goes for his camera-zoomout Rainmaker pose, and Ishii just chops the shit out of him. It sends this message to the audience “this might not go the way you think”.
- In Cena vs. Styles at Summerslam 2016, AJ just splats on the mat missing a springboard 450, Cena doesn’t miss a beat and he gives him a sick looking Code Red.
- That Shelton/Michaels spot, obviously.
- The climatic super-huricanrana in Bayley vs. Banks at Takeover in 2015.
- Misawa/Kawada 1994, when right before the final exchanges, they’ve countered and countered each other, and Misawa takes some time on the outside as if - in hindsight- to say “am I really gonna have to drop this atomic bomb on Kawada to put him away?”, which turns out to be that horrifying neck drop tiger driver.
- In the Chi-Town Rumble Flair-Steamboat match, it seems like Ric’s gonna do his trademark rope flip, run to the top rope and get slammed off, but no, Ric actually comes off with a nice crossbody. Steamboat counters it, but hey, he hit it.

Ishii is the best. There is also a spot where Takeshita takes a dive on the outside, somehow holds the guy in a vertical suplex position without him ever touching the ground and then brainbusters him.

there are too many great spots for me to narrow it down to just one. my favorite part of this is even Cole seems to have a holy shit that worked reaction.
