100 seasons of the National Football League are about to culminate in the 54th playing of THE big game. Call it the Joe Montana Bowl, the Elvis Grbac Bowl, the Alex Smith Bowl, the Makes Me Want To Look Up Which Other QBs Were Ever On Both Teams Bowl, it's really the bowl of Patrick Mahomes versus Jimmy Garoppolo (even though defense wins championships) and it will all play out on SUNDAY NIGHT, February 2nd, on FOX!

Have to go for the team that’s been waiting since 1969 to win another Super Bowl.

Obviously rooting for the Niners, but I’m already at peace because I know the Chiefs will walk right through them. Mahomes is too much, too locked, and KC will win.

I'm actually of the completely opposite feeling. I want to say the Chiefs have a good chance, but defense wins championships, and way more often than not, the elite defense defeats the elite offense, so if the 49ers wins, it'll feel like a "well duh they were going to win" win, much like how I imagine non-fans of the Patriots feel every time the Pats win a playoff game. The 49ers have the overall best team in the league from 1 to 53, I felt this before the playoffs began and while Mahomes is the best QB, Jimmy G ain't chopped liver. I think the Niners will find a way to eke out a victory. I can't imagine they get steamrolled in the SB, even as great as Mahomes has been playing.

That is a bit of a weird attitude to have about this... Its the truth though. No ones stopping Mahomes right now, especially the Niners who struggle mightily with athletic QBs. I personally think the biggest issue may be that if the Niners line is taken care of with motion/moving pocket etc, the fact that Sherman doesn't move is going to lead to some favorable downfield matchups for Mahomes.

Said it before. But I’m actually going to be in San Fransisco just four days after the Super Bowl..
With that said, I hope the Chiefs win.

49ers are the most complete team Kansas City has played yet. 49ers will win this.

49ers are the most complete team Kansas City has played yet. 49ers will win this. Can’t ignore the Niners can’t defend the athletic/fast/mobile QBs. Kyler Murray shredded and almost upset them, Russ Wilson beat them and also got within an inch of beating them, Lamar Jackson beat them. And Mahomes is better than all of them and on a tear. I want to squint and see it happening... but man, I don’t have faith in the D against a mobile QB. Even at full strength, I just don’t.

Great thing about low expectations. They can only be shattered! Lol

On the one hand, not particularly a fan of SF.
On the other, who doesn't want to guffaw at Andy Reid going Full Reid again?

The MNF crew is doing the Pro Bowl, like they usually do.
THERE'S ANOTHER REASON why I dread this damn thing every year. I just cannot get away from Booger! Next thing you know, he's gonna be calling XFL games.

I'm all in for the Niners, especially if we get Lombardi #6 before the Cowboys (and tie the Steelers and Pats for most all-time). Mahomes does make me nervous, but if there's any defense that can stop them, it's ours.

Mahomes does make me nervous, but if there's any defense that can stop them, it's ours. That matchup comes down to 1 thing, the 49ers front 4 against the Chiefs pass blocking OL. If Mahomes has time he's going to pick the Niners zone apart. Sherman not moving with receivers and all that means they will be able to dictate favorable matchups downfield so once again, it literally comes down to pressure. If they don't get pressure or allow Mahomes to break the pocket he's going to have guys open.
