I guess it wouldn't be the worst idea in the world to have the finish be Rhea going to hit Toni and accidentally laying Io out, giving Toni the win. It'd also be a good way to start the build to that that Rhea vs. Io match in Tampa everybody wants, since not even Toni's mother thinks she's going to win at Worlds Collide.

Or she took a clean L which would be her first since like September I don't mean to be all "Wednesday Night Wars bleh" but there is an argument to be made about having a big loss happening on TV going towards a match where she builds herself up and beats Rhea for the NXT Women's Championship at WrestleMania, eventually getting revenge on Storm for the loss? Like, it'd be something unexpected that could get people intrigued? I don't know, just a dumb scenario I was thinking of. There is an argument for that. For some reason lately since her injury people have gotten into their heads Io is looking “weak” when that is far from the case. She has undeniable swagger and a little crack in the armor could help a bit as she is still a heel and no doubt I believe when her and Rhea meet, Io will get the more baby face reaction Losing to Storm who is a big name we believe is coming into NXT soon is not an injustice. Io needs to keep busy over the next month before they kick her and Rhea program into overdrive Either way I trust them with this. They have made minimal mistakes with the women and as been said multiple times it is a built division with Rhea and Io sitting at the top. Rhea holds the title until Mania weekend, Io holds it until probably summerslam weekend and then you start looking at others like Knox, Kai, Storm etc

I think the issue is that Toni Storm is basically going back to NXT UK after Worlds Collide (because lets be honest, there is no chance Toni wins the NXT Women's Championship at WC), so it would be hard for Io to get her win back, because Toni showing up again on NXT NA is very unlikely. Them sacrificing Io just to build up Toni for a match at WC where the result is obvious no matter who wins tonight is kinda dumb. Io is their hottest star right now among all of the women. Toni has been incredibly disappointing ever since Evolution. Either book a no contest finish, or have Io outright win. Also Toni is not moving to NXT NA full time. She's made it clear in the past that she has zero desire to live in Orlando, and enjoys the freedom of being able to work in various indies in the UK.

It's a reasonable story you could tell and with Storm probably staying in the US for the forseeable future, you can do that again to set up a rivalry of sorts towards the Takeover after that and whoever could challenge later on.

Tegan and Dakota, six woman tag, they STILL can't do a finish, keeps going until someone comes out who they can pin. Ends up in a 24 woman tag and it’s, like, Santana Garrett taking a pin. Online reactions from fans: You had Aliyah, Vanessa Borne and Taynara down there and you had Santana take the pin!?

Yea, generally NXT has been good in these wins and losses to the point they probably should use a f*** finish to protect someone like a Matt Riddle who has lost all his championship matches clean but he’s still over Tony besting Io would be the right type of shocker imo and one both women benefit from.

I mentioned it a few other times in the thread, but Toni has made it very clear she is not moving to NXT NA full time, and has no desire to. She's likely gone back to NXT UK after Worlds Collide. On top of that, she's made it very clear she wants to work in various indies around Europe/UK. Which NXT UK lets her do. She won't be able to do that in NXT NA. So its a win that Io will probably not get back any time soon if she loses tonight. Not to mention Toni has been incredibly underwhelming ever since Evolution (at least in WWE). She's constantly been phoning it in, her character work has been dismal, and she's just been incredibly lazy in general.

I said it already to me it does not make any sense to be jobbing out Io cleanly to Toni just for Toni's one match for the title of which everyone knows she aint winning.
But if Io has to lose then have Rhea "accidentally" cost Io the match
It should not be clean that is all.

I mean, sure, but on the other hand, there isn't really much she can do in NXT UK at this point since, well, NXT UK doesn't exactly book the women they have great outside the title scene and honestly, they probably need her more on the A NXT brand then the B one right now with the signings they've made/will make to boost the numbers. I'm not saying you're wrong or Toni is wrong but I'm going to say if the dump truck of money hasn't arrived yet, it's coming really soon.

She said her goal is to main event WM and she also REALLY wants a match with Becky, so unless she goes straight from NXT UK to the main roster I think we'll be seeing her in NXT at some point, even if it's just for just a few months. She has top female babyface potential, so they'll definitely be throwing a shitload of money her way that might be too good to pass up.

It's probably not coming any time soon because (NXT UK taping spoilers below) {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler for NXT UK Tapings}Toni Storm is getting an NXT UK Women's Championship match against Kay Lee Ray, she quits the match (it was an I Quit match), gets saved by Piper Niven, but is acting like a heel now as well. So she's probably turning heel on Piper at some point soon.

True, but {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}The match is also one where Toni can't get a title shot as long as KLR is champion so outside of Piper beating Toni and winning the belt from KLR, there isn't really that much that can happen since, again, not much for the women to do outside of title storylines.

Toni is one of the few credible women on NXT UK right now. I think at the end of the day, the best option is a no contest. Io eating a pin clean right now is an insanely bad idea, especially since she's actually a full time regular on NXT, and one of their biggest stars. And she has yet to be pinned or submitted since turning heel. Wasting it now seems like a bad idea, especially for a throwaway match where the result couldn't be any more obvious at Worlds Collide. Toni should look strong heading into Worlds Collide, but not at the expense of Shirai. Especially since Toni isn't going to be a regular on NXT US any time soon. It sucks, but WWE has a nasty habit of booking matches that kills at least one star's momentum. In a worst case scenario, it'll be Shirai who has her momentum killed just to build up Toni. Who is going to lose to Rhea no matter what on Saturday.

I know big beef Lee and shitty little boots is main eventing tonight but man I would switch it give these two 20-25 min and let them just go. Unless Keith is winning the title which I still doubt is happening tonight.

Io should stomp on Toni's butt like Kairi did that one time.
