Everyone will complain that it's not the original and why they are making it before it makes over 100m at the box office.

"Disney is developing a live-action remake of {insert classic here}" is the least surprising headline in the world right now.

Not that they'll do this since Disney has virtually no interest in adding anything remotely interesting to these live action adaptations, but it would be interesting if they incorporated elements from the midquel for this version. In general the Great Prince of the Forest feels fairly underdeveloped in the original film, so some expansion wouldn't hurt.

Get to the Fox & The Hound & The Rescuers already. Yes. Only F&H is TOTALLY ADAPTED FROM THE BOOK. Good luck going to sleep after that, kids.

"Disney is developing a live-action remake of {insert classic here}" is the least surprising headline in the world right now. it'd be more surprising if it was like... Atlantis... or The Black Cauldron... or any of the others that underpreformed (or hey one of the ones that aren't really stories... >_>) but at this rate Disney will get to it eventually... that said I have a feeling they're not doing a Peter Pan one for a while do to a bunch of failed live action Peter Pans that have come out.

I’ve been on board with the idea of most of these remakes, even tho they’ve had varying level of success from a quality stand point, but this just seems like an awful idea to me. Especially after recently seeing The Lion King, which I felt other then Timon and Pumbaa didn’t work at all

At this point, Disney would remake Song of the South if they thought it'd make them money.

Now that’s the tricky part, isn’t it. Not the Pan stuff, because I completely agree with that sentiment but the Black Cauldron/Atlantis(/Treasure Planet?) despite underwhelming, all have cult followings to varying degrees and IMO would make dope-ass live action adaptations. But I see no way they touch those. Not enough popularity and all sounds way too familiar to their attempt with Tron: Legacy. Which sucks, I still enjoy a lot of Tron Legacy to this day.

Robert Zemeckis is making the live-action Pinocchio.
Just putting that out there.

Besides Bambi's mom getting murdered, what else happens in that movie? Seriously, like...what is another famous scene or song in that movie? Is this really the best choice to get the next live action treatment?
As for Pinocchio, they should make it Pinocchia, with a female cast. Really piss off the people who threw a fit about a black Ariel and other castings.
