Definitely a huge drop in quality from the two del Toro films.

Definitely a huge drop in quality from the two del Toro films. And one that could have been avoidable since all they had to do was a Direct to DVD animated film if the worry was about the rights running out. But it is sadly about the money.

Cool review, still enjoyable for some of the visuals.

The King Arthur bit is in the comics I believe... but that doesn't make it good or less unnecessary.

Cool review, still enjoyable for some of the visuals. Most of the makeup is fine, the visual effects, not so much.

Finally got around to watching it a couple weeks ago. David Harbour was ok at doing a basic Ron Perlman impersonation. Brought nothing else to it though. Ian Mcshane at least did his own version of Professor Bruttenholm even if it was him just being him. Liked the luchador bit and Lobster Johnson. Milla was fun. Effects were not great.
But the ending was nothing but redoing the ending of Hellboy 2005. Hellboy is tempted to fulfill his destiny to end the world, an ally reminds him of his father and that he can choose, Hellboy breaks his horns off and kills the bad guy.
Thats the problem with reboots all the time. Everyone wants to do their version of the same stories so we get nothing really new.

I liked this movie and was very surprised at how much it was hated.
