Right now's actually the lowest it's been since May 2018. And it's probably just going to get worse between starting time tomorrow and the quarterly report next week.

I mean, hell did they expect? You can't fire your co-presidents and have your investors go "Oh, okay. Nothing wrong with this!". Also, this is shedding a lot more light on the cutting back of live events. Almost like they didn't do it for the wrestlers. Considering they're losing out on a lot of pay from house show appearances + merch sales without being compensated for it in other areas, they definitely didn't do it for the wrestlers.

God this company is a disaster. Pro wrestlers have got to be stupid by and large, otherwise I cannot fathom how they're still getting big name indie signings. If AEW and New Japan are offering you a spot as well, and you STILL go to WWE? You're literally just a mark trying to live the dream of being on WrestleMania. Good for you, I guess. Point is, everyone is talking about big WWE prospects like Keith Lee right now, but he works under a shitshow and will be lucky if WrestleMania still exists in 5 years. He'll probably be in a top match on AEW SuperBrawl. This is where perspective goes out the window. Disastrous financial results for the WWE will still see them as the most profitable pro-wrestling company by a factor of hundreds of millions of dollars.

I'm not so concerned still at the stock market, because the stock market is always pretty much a Twitter flamewar come to jittery over-reacting life anyway.
But those two going is some major boardroom move, definitely.

Considering they're losing out on a lot of pay from house show appearances + merch sales without being compensated for it in other areas, they definitely didn't do it for the wrestlers. And that's the sad part. AEW literally doesnt hold house shows to have a better working environment and less risk for wrestlers, while WWE has to do it because of their own bottom line because they dont give a shit, they made their wrestlers work on Christmas until a big stink was made about it. Their stock has earned this tanking, the quarterly reports and the XFL Season spell further disaster for it. I'm not saying this is the downfall or end of the WWE in some fashion but this is going to absolutely hurt them, especially with contracts coming up, competition only rising, and investorsa dn fans alike just tapping out because their patience has run dry. WWE's running out of mulligans in terms of existing how they do and the way they do.

Did they play the outro versions of their WWE Network launch press conference entrance themes as they were escorted out of the building?

(...) I'm expecting they'll announce a supershow in Turkmenistan later this year. Nah, they'll aim lower. Syria? Also, if Michelle's being scapegoated for the Network, that's absolutely unfair. She has no control over people cancelling subscriptions in protest over the KSA deal, or because they can't take the shitty booking anymore.

WWE has been a Dead Company Walking for a few years now, IMO.
If Vince doesn't step aside and Steph/HHH don't immediately end some of WWE's associations (KSA, Hogan, etc.), they're not going to be able to bring in new generations of fans to stop the bleeding.

If true...no wonder they don’t promote NXT at all, they don’t make a dime from it.

If that's true and they threw it out there just to f*** with AEW's viewership, for free, people are going to finally start seeing that Vince has lost his touch.

She has no control over people cancelling subscriptions in protest over the KSA deal, or because they can't take the shitty booking anymore. That's the real kicker, isn't it? The two 'money stuff' executives are getting the boot here because of poor financial performance, but so many of the downturns in business can be traced back to shit they won't have very much control over unless there was some huge mismanagement or misinvestment going on. Nobody in their positions would have been able to fix the downturns in viewership, attendance, and merchandise. That's the fault of the people who run the product end of things, mainly the guy on top of the company. But of course they take the fall if numbers are bad and Vince doesn't, which is key here because it means we're finally reaching a really ugly point: things are getting bad enough that the finger pointing and scapegoating is starting up inside the company, and that's the phase where you know problems are reaching that point where things are bad.

If true then it's actually worse than it seems, and I think it puts a lot of holes into any "but NXT was always Wednesday, it can't be counter-programming" argument. It's valid if USA is paying or it. But if not, then we have to remember the late summer news reports about NXT's fate. Fox reportedly wanted to push WWE as a hardcore UFC replacement and put NXT on FS1 as part of their push to move forward and go in hard on WWE, and talks were reportedly so far along that it going to USA Network didn't have them too happy. If it turns out they put it on USA for no money seemingly just to have that Wednesday time slot/for a high profile ratings war, then they deserve to be mocked thoroughly, it puts a hole into any claim NXT is there because it was there first, and that is some f***ing "Dixie Carter chose a lower-paying channel because she wanted to pitch them her reality show when she was on the inside" tier idiocy.

Aren’t they getting $50 million per year from USA for NXT or was that just a one-time payment?

Quick, WWE stock is falling ! Put all my money into ICOPRO! What about Karate Fighters? About $100 per share, apparently (based on Hasbro’s stock price, having bought Milton Bradley years ago).

Aren’t they getting $50 million per year from USA for NXT or was that just a one-time payment? Dave had mentioned $30 million in a previous newsletter, and that's what several other outlets like The Wrap reported as well. It's worth noting that Voices of Wrestling isn't the most reliable source out there considering one of their "informants" is Rovert. On top of them having a serious hatred of everything WWE related. Anyways, I'm gonna wait and see what is going on before I freak out over anything. Because this happens every quarter. People love to spin the narrative that WWE is dying, but then they post profits and the stock rebounds back a bit. And they should bounce back a bit considering they do have paid TV deals for NXT UK, and NXT now through BT Sports. And USA Network needed programming anyways on Wednesday to fill out the slot that Suits left open. Also unless they are misrepresenting themselves in the SEC filing which is a huge no no, then WWE is getting paid to air NXT on USA according to the filing from last October.
