Exactly what the threat title says. What's the oddest living situation you were in, location-wise?
Around the years before elementary school, during that, and a few years in high school, what I called home was a printing press. Family business. Both parents worked there, and thanks to that and some situations we lived in a place where a number of people worked. It was a big place, but for most part the only area that was for most part ours was one room. Bedroom with TV, had AC at least. Even then, at break times and lunch time, other relatives would drop by to rest. Toilet/bathroom and dining room is kinda a shared space with relatives who worked there but didn't live there. Mom worked a managerial role, but at the same time also had other jobs there like dealing with cooking for the rest of the workers. No real privacy, as you slept and lived in one room with my other three family members, though being young that really didn't matter much.
There was also noise. Most work ended at around... it was either 8 or 9 PM, maybe longer when there's a lot of work to be done. That was for basic stuff that only needed people. The printing machines kept running. Even though the bedroom was far from the machines, I remember the sounds of the heavy machinery going on. Not that loud, but persistent - it did help me later on from falling asleep despite loud noises, at least.
Family moved out at around my second or third year in high school. About a decade spent there. Not really a place where there's privacy for my age then, but at the same time there was something relaxing about it.
