Actually of you look at the big picture bryan's arc is that he redeemed himself. In the beginning of last year he turned to the dark side to reclaim the big title because he felt that's where he needed to go. He abandoned the fans and all the stuff that brought him success for short term greed. And his darker impulses took over and he became evil captain planet.
Then during his bouts with the fiend he did change except he didn't come out worse, no, instead he found his former self and became Bryan of old.
Completely different than what happened to seth. Who instead lost himself to the abyss fighting the fiend and now is this false idol walking around trying convert people into his zany beliefs

It's especially bad when you know that he wanted to use his status and popularity to elevate the tag team scene, basically giving them an excuse to keep him out of the main event picture and push whatever they wanted, so of course they drop the belts almost instantly, he gets a rushed face turn, and they push him back into the main event only so he can put over Wyatt like a million bucks, only for Wyatt to then subsequently put over a 50 year old part-timer at the next event.
I'm not sure what these matches with career JTTS guys and feud with Gulak is supposed to accomplish. It might work if Gulak was Cruiserweight Champion and they used a feud with Bryan to elevate him and the title, but that's not the case. It's just filler before building to a nothing 8th match from the top with Sheamus at WM that they are desperate to get out of their system because they're still hung up on WM30 not going according to the original plan.
Like they could be doing all this interesting stuff with him that he's talked about that doesn't need the main event spot, but instead his final years in the company are looking like a waste and an afterthought.

I think he's just running down his contract. Knowing his passion for wrestling as we all do, I can't imagine him looking at today's landscape and not wanting to be free. It's not even a knock on WWE so much as it is just an observation that Bryan seems like the kind of guy who would love being a free agent.

If he didn't have Baby #2 on the way, I would love to see him do a stint in New Japan. Though maybe once NJoA gets going, he could work some dates there.
Anyone know when his contract's up in WWE?

Pretty sure he signed a long term contract last Summer. 5 years I think. Which is a real shame because I'd love to see him in NJPW too.

Bryan does suicide dive in WWE:
FAN Forum "He needs to stop doing those and the flying headbutt! We're worried".
Bryan on possibly being in NJPW:
FAN Forum "Yeah it'd be great". "Him vs. KENTA, Kota, Suzuki.... WOW!".
lmao if people are still worried for him now in WWE. Imagine him being let loose to do his own shit in Japan? Headbutts, neck drops, head drops, DIVES etc.. no problem! again lmao
