I find it very hard to irrationally hate people. I don’t see the point and takes up way too much energy.
Sam Roberts is my exception. He and Pat McAfee still have jobs with this company, and other companies, and I have no idea why.

He and Pat McAfee still have jobs with this company, and other companies, and I have no idea why. Because he's a great supporter of WWE. He constantly talks about wrestling on his show. He has wrestlers on his show. So, it's great publicity for WWE. And he did it before he was employed by them. That's how he got his job with WWE.

I used to be an Opie and Anthony fan before those two self-destructed and I grew up , and Sam has always been someone who just loves being a shit-stirring little goblin. I think he could probably get a Muppet to want to take a swing at him.

What kills me is the molten go-away heat he gets from crowds, especially NXT crowds, that he seems to believe is heel heat from his 'character' where he plays a heel and it gets over but in reality he's just a goon and everyone wants him off their screens.

He was fine as an outsider kinda fan perspective until he decided he wanted to get a character over during that Bianca crap.

He was fine as an outsider kinda fan perspective until he decided he wanted to get a character over during that Bianca crap. He didn't decide on anything. Vince wanted him to play that character. And since you all hate him so much, he's doing his job and deserves every penny that Vince pays him. He's a nice guy in real life. I listen to Jim & Sam every day on the way to work.

I honestly get more out of The Bump than I do from Backstage. Show’s had to add an extra half hour to the run time because their interviews ran so long.

And since you all hate him so much, he's doing his job and deserves every penny that Vince pays him. He's a nice guy in real life. I listen to Jim & Sam every day on the way to work. What money is he drawing? What program is he enhancing? Even a heel commentator is meant to service the story through their biased approach focusing on what the heel believes and advocating for them. He's not working a program with anybody, he's not getting shown up by faces, he's just being irritating in pre-show segments and side content to absolutely no payoff. There can be bad heel heat, and there can be the absolute lack of any reason to be "working" when there's no work to be had. Wrestling of the past few years has had a lot of problems with people working just for the sake of working. It's not commendable or proof the old tricks still work. It's just bad, nd people are smart to it, which just doubles down on how annoying it is. You don't make your presenters buzzing gnats who people don't want to listen to.

I mean, I didn’t even watch the NXT Takeover pre show he was mega booed on so that clearly means that’s working on my end.

That seemed like genuine heat to me. Him and Mansoor going back and forth I thought was great TV.

I used to like Sam until he became a heel character, now he's just really annoying and not in the good way. I dunk on Corbin, but I believe he at least gets a lot of genuine heel heat. With Sam, I have no problem believing most of his heat is "Go away" heat.

Hmmm. I never thought about King Corbin being managed by Sam Roberts.
