Think it'd also accelerate the retirement of a lot of the joshi talent, honestly; a lot of them are getting hurt right now by working such an intense style on an unsustainable schedule that Bushiroad's pushed on them, and that wouldn't improve in WWE. If anything, it could get worse, given the increase in travel. If WWE became home to half the stardom roster (exaggeration) they would learn to ratchet back the intensity depending on the show. Like someone would teach them 'these are the shows where we f*** about and practice spots for big matches. These are the shows where we build our brand, hit our signature stuff and sell the show. And THESE are the shows you go full send.' But yeah, it would be a chaotic time. Also can you plausibility check this train of thought: Ogawa has contacts in WWE, they were in negotiations to buy Stardom, I've seen it posted on Reddit that he was involved in Giulia going to WWE. WWE are looking to expand into Japan. This is evident with their NXT Japan idea, sending Dempsey to AJPW and the fact that they are even looking to sign Okada. Running a major promotion in Japan is difficult at this time, requiring investment from a parent company. If this were not the case, Cyberfight and Bushiroad wouldn't exist and own six of the biggest federations. Even so, companies like NOAH and AJPW do not turn a profit. Neither of the two major parent companies are going to pick up a new company he starts. For Bushiroad, the reason is obvious. For Cyberfight it would be direct competition for TJPW. Ogawa would straight up not work in WWE running main roster shows. He straight up sabotaged Bushiroad when they were involved in making decisions about the show. He isn't going to be the or even a booker in WWE, and if he were given the book for the women's division I can't see him liking the idea of his matches being put together by Tyson Kidd or another road agent. WWE could give him the resources he needs to make a new company, with minimal oversight (between time delay, language barrier and conflicting schedules) with wrestlers that are ready and willing to move Stateside doing so when the time is right. It is reasonable to assume that Ogawa is well connected to the wrestling scene in Japan and could help WWE find companies willing to align with them as a parent company. Yeah. Rossy wouldn't work booking a main roster show, but I also think he wouldn't have a problem gelling with Tyson Kidd or Natalya, both of whom are very well liked in the industry. Tyson is one of the best damn agents in WWE when it comes to matches. And Natalya is boring as hell in the ring, but she's also very well liked by pretty much every woman in the wrestling industry. She opens up her home to let wrestlers train there whenever they want, and has had a handful of joshi names in there as well. Utami and Miyu being two of the more notable ones. Iyo occasionally shows up to help train people there as well.

I'm saying that he strikes me as someone that has a vision for his shows, his matches his performers and wouldn't be happy with compromising on that for anyone. It doesn't matter if the result is good, bad or otherwise it is the compromise and lack of control from end to end that would be the problem.

"I love Stardom and old men" - Saki Kashima. So, I hear she likes old men. How old we talkin' here, because I- "NO!" Alright, fine! *walks away in a huff*

In other Japan news, the President of AJPW has refused offers to sell the company

FYI Meltzer says that it is false that Rossy was feeding Stardom talent and blacklisting them from AEW. TK and Rossy have other issues where both are at fault but the issue with Bushiroad is apparently 100 percent the belief he was going to start a new company

So TK is just being a petty bitch then since everyone assumed the issue TK had with Rossy was that Rossy was blocking his talent from AEW and funneling them to WWE....which just didn't add up when you see the likes of Utami work ROH.
Idk about TK but Rossy's issue with him has to stem from when TK tried to poach Mayu when AEW was just starting.
I REALLY hope Rossy starts a new company because Pre-Bushiroad STARDOM was just the damn best.

Why did Rossy sell the company to Bushiroad in the first place?

Why did Rossy sell the company to Bushiroad in the first place? Because they offered to pay a pretty penny for it (outbidding WWE at the time), and basically offered Rossy creative control still. Which lasted for all of a year or so before they started meddling.

I REALLY hope Rossy starts a new company because Pre-Bushiroad STARDOM was just the damn best. If what I've read is accurate (and seeing as how seemingly no one in the wrestling journalism game has any great sources within joshi promotions, who the hell knows anymore), getting Utami on ROH was apparently a big time effort by Rocky Romero because, yeah, it seems like there's some kind of hold up on having anyone working AEW while under Stardom contract, but clearly not to the point where it's literally impossible. But the last thing I'm buying is that the source of consternation was "Khan just didn't look at when Stardom had shows/who was booked on them." We'd have heard about stuff like that with NJPW shows/talent by this point, if that was the case, and that wouldn't contribute to the spite he's clearly got here. I've heard rumors about Mayu and AEW trying to bring her in when the company was launching, but never heard anything about if it was a "poach" job or not - and, seriously, us puro fans need to learn a new word for talent potentially leaving or just hearing offers from other places, because at this point we've got people saying that Ospreay was "poached" by AEW.

Idk how accurate the translation is from the person who posted it on redditt but seem's agreed enough this is an accurate translation of what Okada said.

So the theories right now as who will remain after the exodus.
Queens Quest minus AZM
Cosmic Angels
E Nexus V
And Mayu for the time being due to her contract
It is a solid enough foundation to continue but the talent that is leaving is absoloutley insane and I have to believe that even some of these will leave sooner than later with who will be taking over running the company that have next to no experience.

Welp, chaos begins in March. Pre-Bushiroad STARDOM booking FTW! Return of Masked Fiesta and Janken tournaments! As much as I have enjoyed modern STARDOM which admittedly does have a stronger inring depth to its roster and a bigger production...they could never touch the heights of when IYO , MAYU AND KAIRI were killing eachother and the storytelling just had an edge to it that todays STARDOM lacks most of the time again despite the stronger roster depth.

Tbh, I feel like the implications of this news may require a re-title or a spin-off into a new thread, especially if things happen sooner rather than later on the new promotion front.

I would wait untill March start doing anything like that just because March is gonna be the month when things really start popping up with roster departures and we will get a more clear picture as to who is following Rossy his new company.
