Thanks for the link. My alarm didn’t go off so I’ve only just put YouTube on. I was thinking the announcement was a venue, but then I saw on Twitter (admittedly through their terrible translate) it might have something to do with Saya Kamitani? Ah that was Rossy saying he has a big announcement but hasn’t told Kamitani about it. (She spoiled his last one, that Iroha was in the GP accidentally by blurting it out at a press concert, so it’s sort of a joking dig at her) Now that makes more sense. She was so upset bless her

So what appears to be the big announcement is that the Stardom dark matches at Wrestle Grand Slam will be broadcast on NJPW World live.

Random but slightly related. I walked past (as in nearly bumped into) Hazuki when I went to Stardom last time I went to Japan. She had this aura about her, and the screen doesn’t do her justice. She is stunning up close.

Seems to be a number of big announcements instead of one: NJPW World live broadcast of their showcase matches, Hazuki returning in some capacity, and they will run Osaka-Jo Hall in October. Who knows if they have something else for after the main.

I don't know when Stardom's contract with NTV is coming up and Asahi is already laying foundations for a transition (with NTV's permission) or if Asahi and NTV worked out something for this in particular, because this is something that wouldn't happen otherwise.

It definitely is and I wouldn't be surprised if there is maybe a growing effort to make a policy exception here. Part of me singles out the "live broadcast part" and makes me wonder if it's exclusively for the live broadcast, and won't be allowed to be stored on NJPW World's archive.

Mirai Maiumi is leaving TJPW, and in a huge blow to Marvelous,Mikoto Shindo, Mei Hoshizuki, and Hibiki have left as well.
As you can imagine, the rumor is Stardom. Unless someone like GLEAT is ponying up money to jumpstart and commit to women’s division, it’s hard not to imagine this is Rossy swinging for the fences. We won’t know for a week or so though. It’s not out of the question they all do different things.
Personally they’re all super talented and deserve to follow their dreams, get paid, and be seen on big stages. I just liked seeing them mix up with multiple promotions and am not exactly hot on the idea of Stardom just grabbing everybody, that’s just me though.
Really high on whatever Hibiki does though, she’s the most over heel in Joshi. In Stardom she’s a curveball to the status quo and anywhere else allows her to wrestle multiple promotions.

There a chance any of them go to AEW at all? I think that's highly unlikely. AEW would have to get work visas for them. If AEW was going to try to bring in a woman from Japan, I doubt it would be any of these. I suspect the three Marvelous wrestlers will end up in Stardom, and wonder if Chigusa Nagayo (head of Marvelous) would even give them her blessing, at least to a degree, since the two companies have worked together quite a bit since Marvelous was founded. Mirai Maiumi is more of a mystery, but I'd also lean Stardom here. She would be following in the footsteps of Mina Shirakawa, Unagi Sayaka, and Natsupoi in jumping from TJPW to Stardom.

Figured it was worth kicking the tires on. I guess AEW currently would only be interested ina few more fuller time Joshi if they could swing them like Maki Itoh and VENY. But I know both still have a ton of Japan commitments.

Wouldn’t bank on it tho. This all happening in a day suggests it might be a package deal and I can’t see AEW just grabbing four joshi for no reason. Anyone ending up with Stardom is kinda out with aew for now anyway, but if it was gleat maybe. Lost in all this is my Hibiki fandom. I don’t like stardom that much but will watch any show she’s in if she joins.

Holy hell, Jungle Kyona left Stardom. Her injury is likely the reason and I could easily see her just deciding to not wrestle. If she intends on doing (her message says she is grateful for fan support on her new stage) so that’s a giant free agent joshi.
Personally I want her to go to Sead but I’m sure AEW fans are very curious lol

Loved me some Kyona during Cyber Squad especially and really had hopes she would get a reign with the red belt just once.
Sad to see her go.
