I know I'm biased in favor of AEW here, but from what little I saw of WWE's handling of things, and how AEW handled it, one thing keeps popping back into my mind. AEW show felt like a bunch of friends that have a Twitch stream that gets no viewers, but they go out and pull out all the stops to have a blast and put on a fun show and just fart around with each other. WWE's shows looked like programming that they're contractually obligated to perform.

They made the best out of a bad situation. I enjoyed the show better than last week's episode, in all honesty.

Watched for the first 10 minutes and then realized nope this still isn't working and wasn't going to watch another round of empty arena wrestling. So I walked out and did something more productive with my time

I thought I'd hate it, but I watched anyway.
It was a blast. I didn't think it was possible to have a good show without a crowd, and while it's still sorely missed, they proved it's possible.
Guevara and MJF singing Jericho's theme was hysterical.

This is the first time AEW had better production/ bigger "big deal" vibes than WWE,lets put it that way.

This is the first time AEW had better production/ bigger "big deal" vibes than WWE,lets put it that way. That was the biggest take out of tonight for me. For all of WWE's experience, talent, resources, and on and on, AEW did just about everything you could do better than WWE did under the circumstances. This was a huge win for them tonight.

I think it was a lot of things. Simple adjustments like having the camera aimed at the set. Keeping the camera shots tight on the performers to accentuate intimacy and take attention away from the empty venue. Well structured bookends to the show. The incredible simple, dark lit Cody Monologue and the Inner Circle post-match celebration leading to the debut of Matt. In fact, the entire show managed to keep its dynamic tone: exhilarating matches, well developed vignettes, event-like-segments such as The Dark Order’s reveal of the Exalted One and maintaining humor and drama throughout the show.
It was also aided by strengths AEW already has: Good, loose natural, fun, tight commentary remained the same. Incredibly physical and exciting, non-formulaic matches were par for the course. Performers feeling free and fun on the mic were present as they ever were.
Smackdown had further disadvantage by being the first show to have to do it under these circumstances. Smackdown could potentially have a show on this level. But overall, and especially in comparison with RAW, this exposes WWE. There’s a plethora of issues plaguing that company and what we’re all dealing with right now, isn’t the only one.

I appreciated that they actually tried to do a somewhat normal show.It was a newsworthy show that was a nice distraction.Thumbs up AEW.

I feel like they handled it as well as they possibly could and a million times better than what WWE is doing.
I was actually kind of excited for WWE's shows, but they've flopped pretty hard. Tonight's Dynamite was quite good, though.

It was a great show. Jericho should just be out there on commentary the whole show.

When WWE had everything stripped away and were presented at the same level of AEW, with no fans, and just presentation, this is no exaggeration, AEW destroyed them
This isn't even bias, Smackdown wasn't too bad, RAW was a disaster, and up against both of them trying to put together a wrestling show, AEW just showed they are currently the superior wrestling show, in both in ring and presentation.
And I think this is the week some fans eyes may have been opened to that.

Tonight's Dynamite was quite good, though. After the disaster that was Raw, I honestly wasn’t gonna watch anymore empty arena shows but figured I’d give AEW a shot and was blown away. No one part about the show was amazing, just a consistent enjoyable show start to finish. I would actually like to make this an occasional special event, a stripped down show with a handful of wrestlers in the crowd. Made for a very fun show.

It was a great show. Jericho should just be out there on commentary the whole show. Two times during the show I had to pause my DVR because I was laughing so hard. First one was Hangman's "been social distancing since November" on his intro, and the other was when Jericho called Arn's sheet a Waffle House menu. I f***ing laughed so hard I was crying.

It told me, again, the importance of commentary. And I don’t even think AEW’s commentary is all that good. But it also isn’t obtrusive. It doesn’t beat me down with fake laughter and buzz phrases. Its okay just to let things breathe, sometimes.

They did a lot of things right.
-Focused the camera on the set, instead of the empty seats. -Had some of the boys there to serve as a 'crowd'. -Kept the show going as if it were an episode of Dynamite. -Had actual matches.
Like, I liked SmackDown (if just for the Roast of Michael Cole), but... this was way better.

Be interesting to see what they do ratings-wise, given NXT effectively waved the white flag.
But yeah, it looked great. And they definitely showed that in terms of creativity and (more importantly) flexibility, they're a level above.

They did ok. They had an advantage of not being the first to do it. I think AEW, Raw and Smackdown all did well considering the circumstances.

Smackdown did ok, AEW did really well imo RAW was a dumpster fire though, even with the circumstances, the drop off in quality in comparison to Smackdown which had like no preperation going into it, is baffling.
