Figure four leg lock? To be honest, I'm not sure when it was invented or whether anyone is using it atm, but it feels as old as wrestling itself and will never not look incredibly painful. Cody has used the Figure Four for a few tap outs on Dynamite.

Frank Gotch used a Toe Hold, which most of us would recognize as the ankle lock. Sleeper was used by Strangler Lewis and that could be used as a finisher by a fair amount of people. Though I guess the Kimura/Double Wrist Lock beats them all since we have good evidence that's been used for thousands of years

Any move can be a finisher IMO.
Just have someone beat a bunch of people with it.
I like how Paul Heyman pitched the idea for Mark Henry to use a side headlock as a finisher. Wish it would have happened. Would have been a cool visual seeing him kayfabe snap a bunch of dude's necks or put them to sleep with the most basic standard rest hold. And it's realistic AF, because in real life, if Mark Henry wraps his arms around your skull and squeezes with bad intent, that's the end of your day.

I love "silly" wrestling moves like the Heart Punch, The Claw and the Samoan Spike.

Lou Thesz used the STF, though it's difficult to tell what the oldest finishers were before television.

Plus you could do vignettes of him side headlocking melons, barrels, basketballs, Strangler Lewis’ old dummy training head thing and just crushing all of them. Would have been good tv.
