Abdullah the Butcher and his spree of infecting people. WWF Steroid trial. Jake Roberts (although that one at least has a happy ending.) The Plane Ride from Hell. It’s not that there isn’t enough but is a Jake episode necessary? Pick Your Poison and Resurrection covered most anything they could.

With Hogan I'd do:
VO of his return to WWE in 2002- go through 2002-2005 in the first part of block A. Introduce the family, give a background of them, talk about the reality show.
-Nick's car accident & prison
-Marriage ending
-Sex Tape
- Racism & horrible PR attempts after the tape's release
-Trial & Peter Thiel
conclusion

Just the car crash? I don't think so, since Nick wasn't/isn't a wrestler. Although, wasn't he interested or training at some point? Now Hogan? Yeah, that's definitely a story. If O.J. hadn't gotten the title, "Hulkster: Made in America" or "Real American" is a great title. His could also be super long like the O.J. doc too. Hogan as singular entity is just way too extensive to cover in one of these, even a 2-parter. I can see them hitting different aspects of him at different times. One focusing on the sex tape/racism scandal, one on the Hogan family (which would include the Nick stuff, Brooke's career, the divorce), etc That's what I meant, Hogan's could be like the O.J. doc. Like ten hours long, five two hour long episodes. He's pretty much one of the four professional wrestlers that EVERYBODY knows. Him, Flair, Austin, and Rock are the four names everybody knows of.

I can think of ones I'd say are probably better known than Flair. Triple H off the top of my head largely just because of how he was a major player during WWE's peak years and there's been a lot of cultural overlap there. Roddy Piper's another, he had more of an impact outside of wrestling circles than Flair.

He's definitely miles ahead of HHH in terms of public awareness. Light years, really.

Admittedly the rap community is one of those things where I know pretty much nothing about it and largely forget it exists so that aspect slipped my mind.

Why is Heroes of Wrestling always mentioned as an episode. It's notorious as being one of the biggest trainwreck failures of a promotion, single show and PPV ever. It's where all the videos of Jake Roberts with the snake between his legs and all the drunk "You got 21? I got 22!" stuff comes from. Lots of other stuff went down. Bundy and Neidhart both being a-holes behind the scenes, Gordon Solie backing out at the last minute because he fell ill (and would die months later), etc.

Just from reading up on it I believe it could make for a fantastic episode. Also you can actually watch it in it’s entirety on YouTube. (Going to check it out in the next couple of days.) As well I wouldn’t mind an episode on how far the NWA fell in the 90s when it became such an afterthought.

Halfway decent match between Tully Blanchard and Stan Lane that dragged too long because no one bothered to tell them the ending. Abdullah going into full Abdullah mode despite the show being billed as “family friendly.” Numbnut of a fill in announcer who couldn’t even pronounce names right, let alone call the ring action. Yeah, there’s lots about that show to tell.

Yeah, there’s lots about that show to tell. With the exception of Brawl for All every other episode was mostly about real life tragedies. I don't know how "there was an awful wrestling show" fits in the same show as "Bruiser Brody was stabbed to death in San Juan"

I guess. I'm a bigger fan of the serious, dark in tone stories that are about the things that happen to the real people in the wrestling business.
